2003 Mini S AC problems

I have Mini 2003 S which is now having AC problems. It seems to be only blowing warm/cool air but not really cold. Can anyone help me on this. Thanks

You ever get the ac serviced?
They often need a top-off of the refergirent every few years..
Beyond that, the second most common issue is a failed compressor, or a failed clutch on the compressor. In anycase, it is usually best to have a pro work on the ac....having a vacume to evacute the lines if the system is opened (needed to get the system functioning right) is not something a diyer has....

my local garage does an a/c performance check for $15. Most often all you need is a gas top off and they charge by the quantity needed.

You could just go to autozone and buy a bottle of gas and shoot it in. But that's $20 to $25 and if that's not your problem you waste that money . . .

Nothing special about MINI a/c, and decent garage should be able to tell you what's wrong. How you decide to fix it is another discussion.
