Hello Everyone !

Hi, Tony is my name. About 3 weeks ago, I became tho owner of a 2004 Mini Cooper with 100k miles on it.The only problem there was a hole in the side of the motor and completely seized. Seeed like a good project for me. Bought a Motor with 84k miles in a scrap yard (sorry auto recycler) got it at a good price. Last week I tore out the original motor. Pulled the oil pan and valve cover on the new motor , nice and clean inside new gaskets and the motor was back together. Installed a new clutch just because and as of last night the motor and trans were back in the car. This morning hooked up the exaust, wirining and installed the radiator added antifreeze and oil. Turned the key and it fired right up. Very excited so far. Still need a few things before it is driveable but a lot of progress so far.

You must have a great garage and some time on your hands... sounds like a great project that is working out very nicely.

Good Luck!!!
