Window issues after tint

Hello there! First off, I'm a new member to this site. I was hoping I can get some help from other MINI owners. My husband and I just bought a 2012 Countryman last month. We decided to get all our windows tinted (not at the dealership) with 15% tint (I think). After the tint dried we began having issues with the windows. The windows would either get stuck half ways or just roll down completely. Has anyone else had these issues after tinting their windows?

That sounds like the tint film is getting the window stuck at the bottom edge of the window frame. Is the film peeling off because it's getting caught?

I think you should definitely contact the company that tinted the car for more info... Just curious, how long did you let it dry for?

I would tell the company you had it done by because I didn't have that problem but first time I had it done by a new place and it peeled off like a banana! So I went back to my normal dude and they're perfect. Good luck!

I was told 72 hours after tinting not to roll the windows down. No problems with my window tint.

We waited over 24 hours. We took the car back to a MINI dealership and turns out the weather stripping that holds the windows from inside the door panels are messed up. The tint was still in tact, no peeling. We were just wondering if MINI's might need a special tint or something because we watched the guys tint our windows and they didn't touch the weather strips... especially not the ones inside the door panels.
