My MA called today and said my vehicle is scheduled to be delivered this week and after 6 plus weeks of waiting, I'm contemplating canceling the order and not so much because of the $750 but more so because of the run around I've been receiving from Mini USA.

My $750 was applied with no questions asked on my MCS that was ordered 9/18. My Not Normal Drive event was Today, as was the delivery of my MINI.

I'm not sure why the sales manager is giving you such a hard time. I'd perhaps request to speak with a regional manager as many of us are having no problems using our cert on already ordered minis.

If your dealer won't budge and you're not willing to walk away, I'd be tempted to report them to the BBB and whatever agency governs them. The voucher has exclusions on it and none of them apply to Priority 1 cars. For some the $750 isn't worth walking away, for me it was a matter of principal. A car is a big purchase and you have to do what feels right. In all honesty I believe the fault lies with MiniUSA and not the dealers.

I concur with you, I don't beleive it is my dealers fault, they have actually been very good to me and is not so much the $750 incentive either because I feel I received a good deal when I placed my order.
My main issue is primarily with Mini USA and there ambiguous "Not Normal" sales incentive and there inability to define there policy guide lines or to even respond, is what perturds me.
I have seriously contemplated reneging on the vehicle but I know when it arrives I'll probably be all bark and no bite and follow thru with the purchase after the tortuous 6 plus weeks of impatiently waiting.
Thanks to all for listening to me vent.

It is just me?

According to my MA and the robot voice, My MCS has been in production since last Friday with production scheduled to end this Friday but the OL website still tells me my current status is "on order" and lists a pepper white MCS with a sunroof rather than a Lightning blue hardtop.

How often does the OL website update?

My route to work takes me on freeway that passes the MINI dealer. This morning there's an (open) transporter parked outside containing a spice orange hardtop..... I'm sure I'm not the only person to order one but I think that may finally be mine!!

They definitely messed up the event. My dealer advertised it for the 20th, MINI USA had it as the 13th. My dealer sent several emails to everyone registered saying it was definitely on the 20th. Then on the 12th I got an email saying it was the 13th after all.

According to my dealer many people missed the event, and their voucher, because MINI USA told them at the last minute they had to have it on the 13th.

My car went into production on 10/11. It was updated online around 10/13. As of today it is still showing in production on OL. However, it is on the train going to the dock today(10/23).

I admire your restraint. I would have been climbing on the car carrier checking VIN's

Yeah, when I got to work I chided myself for not turning around and checking it out.

Greg - yeah, but that's pretty messed up that it took so long for you to get yours. Though it does make me think they process them in the order they went on the boat. Yours must have been almost last on, and mine first. *shrug*

If any of you get updated info, please share.
I just entered my VIN again at Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics and got updated info! The ship isn't there yet, but the site shows my car waiting for the Topeka.

The ship isn't there yet, but the schedule has it leaving Southampton on Thursday the 25th.

I was having some issues and ended up speaking with the sales manager yesterday. He told me that my darlin' was expected in this morning. It had been released by the VDC at noon yesterday. It's getting close!

Hey UK, the VDC did have to install the drilled front rotors. I think that was the reason for delay. Here's the skinny, they are back logged at the VDC waiting for carriers. I was told that there are 11,000 vehicles at the VDC waiting to be trucked out between BMW and Mini. Looks like that's the weak link in the delivery process!

Forget the OL. The Ask Mini robot seems to be updated early every morning. Talking to a live person is the most accurate you will get.

My car is due to be delivered to the VDC at Brunswick tomorrow, and the OL still says "Awaiting Transport"

Holy crap!!! How on earth did mine get out within a couple of days (if it has). I did read that the Fidelio has room for 8000 cars so I can see that the VDC will fill up quickly.

Yep, checked it obsessively. I'm in socal too. I've called the dealer that I went to and they've told me twice already (on separate occasions) that they'd follow up with it. Still nothing.

Apparently they keep getting my email wrong. We'll see...

If you guys ordered your mini, when do you give your MA the coupon? At the time of order?
