To make up on not getting the $750, my MA gave me a free set of wheel locks, a trunk mat and an extra $150 off MSRP so I think that was fair play.

Can't believe I am finally done, didn't seem like it would ever happen but there is light at the end of the tunnel. Keep calling the phone, refreshing the Owners Lounge and watching those ship - your car will be here in no time!

Hope to see some of you at AMVIV in Vegas next year or elsewhere on the road.

Looks great mate. How you enjoying the poping and banging of the exhaust with the sports button on? It's so childish...I love it!

My MA told me this morning that Winston is on the Athens Highway and due to dock today! (He is still officially awaiting transportation!) They should be safely docked in port well before Sandy blows by unless somebody else does not want to leave the berth!

About an hour ago, Marine Traffic updated Athens Highway as having left Brunswick.

Considering those DOHC 16-valve 4-cyl motors were mfg to go for about 125,000 miles, both you and I got a bonus (minimum) 100,000 miles out of our old rides. I didn't have a quarter million mile goal; rather, as long as my Storm got me from point A to point B without too much repair work, then I could continue to save $$ toward a new car and pay cash instead of a loan. Wish I could trade in my Storm, but with 2 crapped-out cylinders, it's most likely headed to a charity as a tax write-off or to the bone yard. We've earned our JCWs!

Is this a trick question?

Seriously, we ran compression tests on the cylinders.

Beautiful! Glad to know the brakes work! Have fun motoring. I have family in Vegas and may get down there next year via: Seattle to west of Butte, MT, via I-90, then south on I-15 to Las Vegas. That'd be a fun road trip!

Looking at info on Sailwx site for the Topeka: it left the port at Southampton at 17:32 (5:32pm) local time. Factoring 1 extra hour for UTC time, that means Southampton is 9 hours ahead of Pacific time. Looks like the Topeka left the port at 10:32am Pacific time.

Just got an email from my MA. My roadster is on a truck and will be here tonight or tomorrow. I didn't order anything that needs to be done at the dealer so I'm hoping I'll have it to drive to work Monday. I currently have a 90 Toyota pickup and I haven't told anyone about the Mini. It'll be fun to see their faces.

Never had a reason to check; not sure I want to either at this point. I'm sure there would be some "evidence" in the pan. We never had any problems or repair work on the tranny or clutch; we did have the cable tightened up at least twice that I can remember. We had the "funeral" for it back in early June and I've completely divested myself of all emotional attachment to it at this point.

Nice car! My wife loves that colour and it was her first choice but we got such a great deal on our Knightsbridge that we settled with red. Great looking car, enjoy!

Google Topeka Cargo ship current position. This takes you to the present position on Marine Traffic.
