The Figaro has landed.

When you track on WW, I assume it says when your car is unloaded as well yes?

Still waiting for "The Rhoadster" to show up in the Owner's Lounge. Ordered on 10/20, got production # on 10/22.

MA and the 888# say it's scheduled for build on Fri 11/2, and that production started 10/24. It is a Priority 3, Week 45-46 (hard to read scanned fax from the MA).

How long does it usually take to actually get past the "Hey, you're too quick on the draw" type message from the OL?

Also, how early can you negotiate with Mini on interest rates and terms? Today is last day of October, so I'm anxious that there would be a loan deal that expires today, and won't be available tomorrow.

Thanks!

Paul, my MINI is listed on the OL as awaiting transportation, while my MA advised over a week ago that it was offloading in Brunswick GA! Im trying not to bug him, but I do hope to have him call me very soon.

I wouldn't rely too heavily on the Owner's Lounge. It still shows my car as "Awaiting Transportation" . . . as is, still at the dock in the UK. In reality, not only has my car gotten onto a ship, but it has already made its way from England to Halifax, to New Jersey, and is not on it's way back to the UK.

I'd like to at least make it into the OL once...

Apart from eventually getting your VIN, you'll be mostly disappointed. I'm scheduled to take delivery either tonight or tomorrow, and the OL says I'm still waiting for a ship.

I've gone through build, transport, being loaded onto a ship (hopefully) and the OL has not updated once. It still shows "on order" with the wrong color and options.

I asked the Call-MINI people about it, and they said they re-use production numbers so you can't trust what it tells you.

Paul Rhoads, we applied for our loan already because they were offering 1.9% but it ends today. You can apply at any time. According to our MA, it locks your loan rate in, but if the loan rate goes lower, you get that one instead. We ordered on 10/19.

Thanks! We got our VIN on Monday (not that it gives us much) from the MA. I'll bug him on Saturday to see if it actually went into production on Friday.

I emailed him today to see what I need to do to tie down the 1.9%, especially since they were talking 3.6% when we placed the order and told us to shop around.

We agreed (wife is a very hard negotiator) on a trade-in amount, but now that I think about it, we didn't get that in writing. Hope that all works out too... babying the Armada, doing our best to keep it in the same condition.

New Coupe has entered Production!

My hubby's new Coupe has entered Production, so we are now an anxious part of this group. :-) Jasper Coupe is lightning blue/black with stripes; automatic; base engine; HK sound; chromeline interior; 16" wheels; standard upholstery; but will have the fixed spoiler added, probably at the port in Hueneme. (this choice sounds like it may cut down or eliminate the labor cost of installation, fingers crossed!) This will be hubby's daily driver, but also a fun car for club runs!
Our loan is approved at 1.9%, that loan offer ends today, so anyone who is thinking about it might want to hop on and get'er done....it locks in the interest rate, tied to the VIN.

Tick, tock, tick, tock....

WOW!! When you get 'the call' and head over there, don't forget to brush your hair, put on your shoes, and grab your wallet.... Have you packed that little bag? You know, the one that you pack when you are expecting a new member of the family?

You need a little microfiber cloth to wipe off the fingerprints, a camera to capture those precious first smiles, and a map of the twistiest route home from the dealership (but take it a little easy, it's only a baby still)

I made it on the Aniara! She's due in to Baltimore Nov 10th, less than a month after I placed my order. I knew this car was fast but damn!

Thanks, I'm probably going to just go with the standard 15" twin spokes as the anthracite wheels are on special at the dealer's parts counter.

Nice! I'd get one, but I already have a 2 seater in the stable.

Sweet!

I got my production number today after ordering on Saturday, probably a day or so late thanks to Sandy. Nothing showing up online or via telephone yet.

Just texted my MA about the estimated time of arrival and he said that it is usually 5 days after landing at the port before the cars get to them in Ontario, CA.

Mine still shows at the VDC and I've been driving it around for the last two weeks!

Had mine for a week even though OL says it's en route.

At which port matters at the moment.

Down south here we have problems.

I heard today that in the New Jersey receiving area no cars were lost, but the power is still out. The arriving vehicles are now going to Baltimore until the situation improves, and then getting trucked onwards from there.

Cheers,

Charlie

The phone mini robot says my vehicle is scheduled for production, OL says my car is en route, WW says my car was unloaded and my MA is MIA.

I'd bet your car is at or almost at the dealership! Ours is ready for pick up now, but we opted to wait until tomorrow. We wanted a good nights sleep to be able to review the paperwork and guard against sales tactics. Also wanted that first drive to be relaxed and fun in the daytime instead of after dark on a Friday night. That being said, I can't wait to actually get in the car and drive.

I am not as enthused about the whole in the showroom unveiling where they reveal the covered car. I guess I don't like the drama and would rather just meet him in the parking lot.
