Still waiting for "The Rhoadster" to show up in the Owner's Lounge. Ordered on 10/20, got production # on 10/22.
MA and the 888# say it's scheduled for build on Fri 11/2, and that production started 10/24. It is a Priority 3, Week 45-46 (hard to read scanned fax from the MA).
How long does it usually take to actually get past the "Hey, you're too quick on the draw" type message from the OL?
Also, how early can you negotiate with Mini on interest rates and terms? Today is last day of October, so I'm anxious that there would be a loan deal that expires today, and won't be available tomorrow.
Thanks!

I wouldn't rely too heavily on the Owner's Lounge. It still shows my car as "Awaiting Transportation" . . . as is, still at the dock in the UK. In reality, not only has my car gotten onto a ship, but it has already made its way from England to Halifax, to New Jersey, and is not on it's way back to the UK.

Thanks! We got our VIN on Monday (not that it gives us much) from the MA. I'll bug him on Saturday to see if it actually went into production on Friday.
I emailed him today to see what I need to do to tie down the 1.9%, especially since they were talking 3.6% when we placed the order and told us to shop around.
We agreed (wife is a very hard negotiator) on a trade-in amount, but now that I think about it, we didn't get that in writing. Hope that all works out too... babying the Armada, doing our best to keep it in the same condition.

New Coupe has entered Production!
My hubby's new Coupe has entered Production, so we are now an anxious part of this group. :-) Jasper Coupe is lightning blue/black with stripes; automatic; base engine; HK sound; chromeline interior; 16" wheels; standard upholstery; but will have the fixed spoiler added, probably at the port in Hueneme. (this choice sounds like it may cut down or eliminate the labor cost of installation, fingers crossed!) This will be hubby's daily driver, but also a fun car for club runs!
Our loan is approved at 1.9%, that loan offer ends today, so anyone who is thinking about it might want to hop on and get'er done....it locks in the interest rate, tied to the VIN.
Tick, tock, tick, tock....

You need a little microfiber cloth to wipe off the fingerprints, a camera to capture those precious first smiles, and a map of the twistiest route home from the dealership (but take it a little easy, it's only a baby still)

WOW!! When you get 'the call' and head over there, don't forget to brush your hair, put on your shoes, and grab your wallet.... Have you packed that little bag? You know, the one that you pack when you are expecting a new member of the family?

@ amancuso: I agree with Denzien about the wheels, but it's also just my opinion. I built a MC online with your color specs and played around with the wheel options. You might want to consider: 17" x 7.0" alloy wheels in our MINI Yours Twin Spoke design. Equipped with 205/45 R17 performance runflat tires.

I got my production number today after ordering on Saturday, probably a day or so late thanks to Sandy. Nothing showing up online or via telephone yet.

OK, repeat after me: goooos-fa-bra, goooos-fa-bra, goooos-fa-bra. There, feel better now? Good. Now get back to work!

Down south here we have problems.
I heard today that in the New Jersey receiving area no cars were lost, but the power is still out. The arriving vehicles are now going to Baltimore until the situation improves, and then getting trucked onwards from there.
Cheers,
Charlie

I am not as enthused about the whole in the showroom unveiling where they reveal the covered car. I guess I don't like the drama and would rather just meet him in the parking lot.
