Anyhow, happy motoring!

I'd bet your car is at or almost at the dealership! Ours is ready for pick up now, but we opted to wait until tomorrow. We wanted a good nights sleep to be able to review the paperwork and guard against sales tactics. Also wanted that first drive to be relaxed and fun in the daytime instead of after dark on a Friday night. That being said, I can't wait to actually get in the car and drive.
I am not as enthused about the whole in the showroom unveiling where they reveal the covered car. I guess I don't like the drama and would rather just meet him in the parking lot.

I'm totally the same when it comes to picking up the car -- let's skip the drama and talk numbers! Best of luck to you on the big day!

Do you know for sure that your dealership does the unveiling process? Mine did not. As I drove up to my dealership to pick up my Clubman it was in the end parking space right in front of the dealership building. I knew it was my car because Green Park Clubman with driving lights are rather rare.

Blulightening, i'm sure that you will hear some news soon. Your MINI is ALMOST YOURS!
Denison, I would probably feel the same way to get the kids excited.

Yay, my dealer called! It's taking all my self-restraint not to run over there right this minute, but I made an appointment to pick it up on Monday.
FYI on my timeline, for those still waiting: Figaro docked 10/31, arrived at dealer in SoCal 11/3.
Now the hard part: parting with my money...
Hm, actually not that painful, when I think about my new MINI!

i've ben trying for a bit to post a picture of the car, but can't get it to work, so I will just post a comment now but I will keep trying after this. I am using Flicker as a photo host site. Does anyone have any ideas to get it to work?
So today was pretty amazing. The car is so fun to drive and ! love it so much. it is perfect and beautiful! i really just want to keep driving like a happy fool!
Regarding the financing- We got the "Not so Normal" sales event $750 off and also the $1000 off we had agreed to before that, and we also got the 0.9% financing which I totally didn't think we qualified for until this morning when I read that it now also applies to 2013 model cars!!!!!!
So we paid quite a bit less then we expected and didn't have to fight for it at all. They were very gracious! There were no weird dealer tricks or unexpected fees. No prep fees or anything else like that and a total willingness to give us a great deal.

Hope this photo works. It is the car when I was with the MA while he was doing his car talk, which I really should have recorded because it was so much info that a great deal of it was lost on me. One more thing that was a happy surprise is that there was no great dramatic reveal. The car was outside and uncovered when they finally let me see it. Haven't named it yet but in the photo it looks to be a Bat Mobile!!!!

Try using http://eho.st
You can upload, then in the lower right-hand corner, it will give you the address to the image. Copy this.
Then in a NAM editor, click the picture icon (looks like mountains) and paste the image location and hit OK
Edit: nevermind, you figured it out :-) Lookin' sharp!

Waiting on my MINI to arrive, the OL doesn't show updates like others have mentioned. The agony!
I got my order number on Oct 1, ten days later it said it's built, and since then, it's been 'Waiting for transport' but initially my salesman told me it takes about 2 months from placing the order to actually driving the car off the lot, so I'm looking at around Thanksgiving to get it. In the waiting period I've bought all the badges, badge holders, and other little trinkets, along with all the car care supplies. Just a few more weeks!
EDIT: Looking at ways to track my MINI, I punched in the VIN number on the WW website, since it's the only shipping company that lets you track by VIN according to the 'track your MINI' thread. Lucky! My MINI was loaded onto the 'Triton Leader' on Oct. 15 and should arrive in my area in a few days around Nov. 6!

We got out new MINI Clubman S. Watched it (through the owners lounge) all the way from production to off loading of the ship. (even got a photo in the Panama Canal). The Dealer (Northwest MINI) called us and we picked up our new baby right after our first MINI club meeting (Salish Sea MINI). The dealer was fabulous, and the whole experience was THE BEST!! Our MINI is AWESOME!

Mark Sandau is who I dealt with. Mark was awesome. His email is mark@northwestmini.com. (253) 284-6464. We when in last Sunday morning to our first Salish Sea MINI club meeting. Our MINI was sitting in the show room waiting for us. Right after the meeting we met Mark and the first thing he did was hand us the keys to look at the car. After ogling and pictures, we sat down and finalized the financing. in about and hour we were signed. Then Mark spent a good 45 minutes going over the MINI and setting up all the electronic doodads (MINI 101 class). After that, Mark drove it just outside. He took pictures of us receiving the car and we drove off (with a moment of time as the wife said good by to her Toyota Tacoma) The was by far the bet buying experiences I (we) have ever had. I highly recommend Northwest MINI, Mark and our Business manager Diane!
