Amancuso, is this your first Mini? If so, congrats.

I forgot how fun it is having so many configuration options and being able to share the wait with others who are doing the same. I did this back in 2004 and here I am doing it again.

You know, when I sold Miss Kensington this year, I went through all the receipts for repairs and upgrades. I spent over $10k over the life of the car and when I think about all the other cars I've owned, it was a higher cost of ownership than my Miatas or Hondas, but I looked back on the fun that car provided me and I have no regrets. I know I'm going to lose money on this purchase (the Coupe isn't exactly a hot seller) but I don't mind because it's exactly what I want. I know I won't ever see another one just like it and I know the driving experience is always thrilling. I can't wait to report when it finally arrives (hopefully in December). Now where is that thread I saw about "is it okay to not name your MINI?

Like kl said, I found it on ww's website.

Kurtster, it's actually my 2nd MINI. Bought the first one on 12/12/11, but bought off the lot and really wanted some more options in it. Now this one is tailored to my spec, even though it's near identical in appearance on the outside.

Just another lurker / soon-to-be-owner here..
Not quite in North America, but I ordered a lightning blue MCS back in July and the "Timor Stream" just unloaded my MINI on the island of Grenada..

With luck I should have it by Wednesday or Thursday!

Here's a pic of the unloading. Pretty sure it's in one of the blue boxes

Our Rhoadster (that's my temp name for it, the wife hasn't named it yet) is in the same condition. Been waiting for transport at the dock since Wednesday. It's priority 3, so I hope that doesn't delay things.

Based on comments around here, I suspect we won't get a good update from Ask-MINI, OL, or the MA for a while. I've been checking the VIN with WW, but it hasn't shown up on their cargo list yet.

We've been asking the MA to check on the 0.9 for 60 months a couple times, and he keeps giving me that they're looking into it. I did a screen shot of their website advertising it until mid Jan for Roadsters, so hopefully we'll get that. I've got a backup 2.6%, but would really rather have the 0.9% obviously.

Read thru the first post in this thread: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...d-updated.html

Has just about everything you need, including the ships, schedule links, etc. Very very useful!

Hahaha! What if your blue MCS isn't in a blue container? I think white goes pretty well with your car, too!

Thanks for the tips everyone. Mine is also priority 3 which I am not sure what it means and god knows the MA doesn't want to give up any extra info. I guess we will have to wait and see!

It's worth the wait!

Finally, on Halloween, after 38 days, of waiting, I brought my 2013 MINI Clubman S home.

I traded in my 2009, British Racing Green Clubman for this Spice Orange Metallic S model.
OMG! Same fun, but a lot faster!

I enjoyed this thread while waiting. A lot easier the second time around.
Good luck everyone. It's worth every minute of wait time.

Two days...

Two days until Gollum's successor appears in my garage.

Two days until my hands can once again find everything without my eyes looking,

Two days until I can park in a parking place without calling for the harbor pilot,

Two days until folks stop commenting on the monster '65 Ford Galaxy that isn't mine,

Two days until that special smell of newness...

Very excited to get our 2013 MCS lightning blue, white top, auto trans, technology (w/o navigation), sport package. Am I correct in assuming that it will be built by the middle of next week?. it will ship to Port Hueneme

Robert, did they say it is in production today or completed day is today? Mine entered production on 11/8 and scheduled completion date is 11/16.

If production started today, it should be complete in 8-11 days.

Our Lightning Blue MC Coupe (is the correct abbreviation MCCa, for an automatic MC Coupe?) has left the factory and is heading toward the dock! No word on which ship yet, it may be a few days before we know. Humming with excitement!

Maybe it's just me, but the closer it gets, the harder it is to wait!

Don't you know it, CA_cath. Hard to get any work done when I got visions of COKESTR running through my head all day (and night). I have an iPhone with a really nice mix of iTunes, and I'm trying to figure out which song I want to hear out of the H/K speakers first:

Born to be Wild, Steppenwolf
Boom Boom, John Lee Hooker
Drive By, Train
Bad Motor Scooter, Montrose
Already Gone, Eagles
Free Ride, Edgar Winter
Radar Love, Golden Earring
Roadhouse Blues, The Doors
The Rockafeller Skank, fatboy slim
Smokestack Lightenin', Howlin Woof
Truckin', Grateful Dead

That's just a small small taste of what I've got. I'm open to suggestions.

btw, the Topeka is off the Baja peninsula, but still in Mexican waters. I'm thinking it dock at the port late late night Wednesday.

Hard choices to make on music...all very good. Now for the math of the Topeka....560 nautical miles out cruising at 16 knots...35 hours...arrival in Oxnard at 2 a.m. on Thursday morning. My MA told me cars sold get priority handling and are first through the VDC. From what I've seen in the last shipments they have been clearing these in a couple of days. My guess..Sat. at best for us in So. Cal....probably Monday or Tuesday. Remember they want our money
