I use to be on an f-body forum, owned a Camaro Z28 back in my early 20's. I oddly feel right at home here.... lol

I did the exact same thing!
Blackberry and Pear Cider (Alcoholic)
Cadbury's Dairy Milk
WW and Marinetraffic (though my stay here is over)
Rear badge holder, blackjack scuttles, Lamin-X headlight protectors.
New age stuff, that's where I draw the line.

Aw c'mon, if Jack Nicholson can say "gooooos-faaa-bra" to Adam Sandler in Anger Management, then hey, we can too, right? As for the lotus position, well, some folks think it's sign language

Arcrys my JCW brother...I just found out from the 800 line today that my JCW went into production 11/26, same as you. I'm thinking they should be done 12/3 if that was indeed the first day of production...already I'm wondering what ship I might get on. But since mine is coming to Cali we won't share the boat ride.

It's on! The Blue MaGoo is at my dealers right now. I drive 2-long hours tomorrow and pick it up.

Jake and Arcrys, I think they put all three of our builds up for the same time frame.

Owners Lounge now works as it should for me. Proper car, proper stage so I can quit whining about that one.

I'm sure there's a link in the hundreds of posts before that shows this, but can someone repost where they look up which boat their car is on? I'll need that in about a week.

That's what I'm thinking also sometime about the 3rd or so. Looking at the ship schedules, provided I get on one of the first one's available, I should be looking at it at the VDC on or about Christmas. /crossing fingers for early Jan delivery if nothing else.

Kurtster, I got the same thing - OL finally started to report some good data. Just for kicks I deleted my JCW off of my profile and readded with my VIN just to see if it worked....it did

Try this page
See the third box over, farthest to the right? Plug your whole VIN in there, without any spaces. It will show you the name of the ship that it is loaded on to. Delay of one day possibly. Might have to try a couple days in a row.

"No records found"

Something tells me for the next week or two those are going to be some ugly looking words that I'll get very familiar with.

For tracking the ship, marinetraffic.com is awesome (thanks for the tip, Fortysix and two!) You can sign up for a free account and add the ship to 'My Fleet', then you get email updates as the ship hits the ports.

Yep... but when you do hit paydirt, then go to 'vessel details' and it will show you the schedule of ports.

Now, you could possibly be on a ship that is not part of the WW fleet, but this is the easiest group to track.

Arcrys, if you just went into production Nov 26th, you're a bit early for ship tracking! LOL! A week or so for production, then a day or two at least to the port, then a day up to a week before boarding a ship. So try not to go nuts, my friend... take a deep breath... have a beer.

Anyone has any advice on aftermarket car alarms, LoJack etc? Trying to keep my mind busy and off the ship carrying my car. Also, what are the better sites for buying accessories? The 2 I've seen we're expensive and not tat impressive.
Thnkx

Your car will already have LoJack installed, but you have to pay to activate it. You will be offered this option when you go to sign the paperwork. But notice how few MINIs are reported stolen. See, they are hard to steal because they have an engine immobilizes chip. So to steal them, someone would have to drag them onto a flatbed or tow them somehow. Of course they can be broken into, that's different. I have LoJack on mine because I didn't understand about the key fob and how if you don't have it, you can't start the engine, no matter what. I won't get LoJack on the new car. Same with the CilaJet treatment. Nice, but overpriced. It's a kind of paint sealer. If they put it on at the dealer and don't ask you first, refuse to pay for it. That's what they did to me with the first MINI. Then charged hundreds of dollars. If you didn't order it, you can refuse to pay for it.

OK friends, we picked up COKESTER today I am still in a state of happy shock. It's dark out now, but I promise I will post pics here ASAP. So the last of the Topeka crew finally made it to its owner. Many thanks to all of you for the morale support in this thread.

I picked my Clubman S up today. It's an awesome car.

First impressions:

Harmon Kardon sounds better than I expected. Much better than the Bose system in my Mazda 3

Cabin noise is much quieter than I expected. The run-flats don't bother me at all either.

The gear ratios are much higher than my 6-speed Miata. The Miata gears seem much tighter. I like them both.

The Ice Blue with Black top, wheels and stripes looks great. Even better than I expected.

The leather dash is nice but I didn't expect two of the other dash parts are finished in suede. It looks pretty good but I worry about keeping it looking good. I would have preferred that it be all leather similar to the dash and seats.

The Bluetooth works very good. I was worried about that. The lounge leather seats are a little harder than I expected. I assume they will break in some. I can't say they are real comfortable but I test drove used Minis with the same seats and they sat better. Probably just need some *** time.

Congrats, Yam. I have envy now.

I'm disappointed that you like the HK system better than your old Bose one. I work for Bose and I am considering converting my HK sound system to a Bose one. It's complicated and would take several people's time for weeks to tune it properly and build a system just right for the car, but it's tempting. It's gonna be really hard for me to say I like an HK system better. Glad you're happy though.
