Woot - ask-mini says we are in production with a completion date of Feb 2... By my calculations (based on nothing but conjecture) I'm think we'll be having a delivery on the last Friday of February... Oh and according to the OL - we're still "On Order" shocking I know...

BTW don't forget your OL account - our account is 10 years old, and hasn't been used in at least 6 years - and it still works!

Tomorrow is the day!

Can't wait to see your new ride! There was a lot of angst for you so it will be even more exciting when you are driving tomorrow! You better burn through some fossil fuel before putting that thing away for the night!

My concern is voiding the warranty. When I go to pickup my new Mini I am going to the service Manager and asking exactly what I can do to my Mini that won't void the warranty or what he cares I do or not do as I've learned in the service industry it isn't always where you go but who you get that matters the most. I am concerned about the mushrooming that supposedly has been fixed but I'd prefer to be safe so that might be my first mod and I can't see how something like that would void anything as it helps avoid damage to the car.

This is still kind of on topic as many of us maybe planning some mods and what voids, what doesn't and what is based on opinion of the service manager would be great to know before getting our cars. TYIA

EDIT: After the warranties are up ....everything is game...!
Oh I am certain the warranty would be gone if the dealer could relate the mod in any way to the issue at hand, and that is very subjective. It's a hard reflash of the ECU - you send yours in and they send it back with the new programming. So no way that would be missed.

If I was to do that it would be after I had some miles on it. However, there are tuners from my car club crowd that tune and dyno locally. So they can always put everything back if necessary......but again too soon to think about that just yet.

Me too!!! Breakfast first (breakfast is always my #1 priority!!) then straight to the MINI dealer to meet my baby! I got my hair cut on Wednesday so I'd look cute for her... Is that going too far?!?

Congrats M'Cooper! Can't wait to see your pictures!

11 hours and 40 minutes to go for me!

11 hours and 39 minutes, but not like you are counting or anything!

Big day tomorrow!!! Pix of car and hair are required!

P.S. And yes, getting the hair cut is weird. But you are obviously a woman, so pretty much everything you do makes little sense to us men. LOL

I think we will be ship mates! Wish there was an earlier ship instead of waiting for nearly 2 weeks after production but I'll be happy when she finally goes afloat!

Deli - this isn't your first MINI, you've been around a while (I remember you from when I was more active here), didn't you have an OL account from your previous MINIs?

My first MINI was a DkS/Bl 2003 MCS. I remember having an OL account back then but was unable to access it again. I have moved since and changed email addresses a number of times. So I started over. Even if I could have gotten into the OL, my car didn't show up there until this morning.

Just picked up my car....IT'S AWESOME. I am very happy with it. I didn't have a chance to get pics because the dealer was busy and had lots of cars inside the bay. It was 12 degrees out so I'm happy it was indoors lol but I have this one

CONGRATS and THANK YOU for the first two but we will expect a lot more. Isn't it sweet to be driving something so nice with so few miles...! Yours is on the low side for miles as most of those pics are between 4 to 6 miles which is nice to see some consistency.

My car will look a lot like yours as mine will be Midnight Black body and roof also and we are having a massive pollen season so I can already imagine carrying a soft cloth to wipe off the pollen night and day as it will drive me nuts when I first get my baby as I will be showing it off to many friends that are starting to disbelieve I even ordered anything.

The dirt will just upset me as I've never been into cleaning cars very often but I am already coming up with a daily, weekly and bi-monthly schedule to keep her looking beautiful.
