Ok, I never really got what was so funny about that bit, but Track & Trace shows that our CM made it on the Honor which departed Bremerhaven last night and expected in Baltimore on the 27th.

Next stop Southampton on the 15th and then straight on to Baltimore!
I hope to join you on the Honor. But I wouldn't mind being on the Parsifal, which leaves on the 16th and arrives a day before the Honor does.

Glad that so many of us are getting closer to meeting our young ones. .

I can't track any more the ship is out of range. Luckily it's not the Carnival line!

Looks like you're picking me (mine? us?) up on the way!
We're showing BOOKED on Honor!

I have a ticket to the next level of obsessive behavior

It's still a little early for a beer, but glasses will be raised.

I'm there too...and I'll buy the first round. Anyone for a Pimm's Cup and soda, with a slice of cucumber?

Shipping Soon?

Well folks I just checked Track and Trace and have finally found my VIN. It says that my Baby has been "Received at terminal". Now I have no idea of my chances of getting on board the Honor heading for Baltimore in a couple of days but I am keeping my fingers crossed like so many others.

If it's showing up that's a VERY good sign...

Just did a little more digging and it says my Baby is booked on the Honor with an arrival date of 27-02-2013 in Baltimore.

Anyone showing booked yet that is destined for Brunswick, GA?

Nothing personal but forget the cucumber slices and soda water...my baby will need a Jack served chilled straight up....and just keep them coming as she is a land lover and may not do so well out on the open sea.

Thank you

I would like to thank all of those who provided the information that made it possible for me to be able to track my Baby. Without their help, and everyones awesome posts in the thread, there's no way I would have figured it out.

I just noticed you are in ND. Once your car gets to a port stateside how long does it take to get your Mini to you? Just wondering as my hardest part is simply getting my baby to the states as once she is here everything is relatively close from port to dealer from home to dealer.

Woo hoo! I'll check now.
Unfortunately for me, I'm on the West Coast and there are fewer boats headed our way than the East Coasters. I'll check now anyway for giggles. I'm afraid to call ASK MINI, as I seem to keep getting discouraged thinking she's further along than I'm told by them.
I checked the Tongala's (next ship to Port Hueneme, CA) position yesterday and it was at port in Italy I believe. This will be my ship unless I get lucky and get a mystery ship like GG's 'Gentle Leader', which wasn't on WW's schedule.
Thanks for the head's up! My husband asked me if I will continue to spaz out and obsess once she's on a ship. Um, duh! At that point I will obsess over Marine Traffic for 21 days. Ha!

OK officialy in purgatory now. Original Prod completion was 2/9/13 and in QC, then got 2/11/13 in QC and no movement since then. Just pinged MA looking for details.

Sounding like something damaged, or not working/broken. Gonna give him sometime to come up with an answer.

Not getting a good vibe about the situation. Would hate to start over, but not going to accept a problem child right out of the factory.

Had the same thing happen - the car sat at the port for about a week before getting loaded. It seems that there's some delays at the two ports (Bremerhaven and Southampton) and probably not an issue with damage.

If there is damage once the car leaves the factory, unless the car is totaled, it will be handled by the VDC once the car is offloaded from the ship. It's not unheard of for cars to get damaged in transit, but it doesn't happen often and you'll have a hard time getting MINI to acknowledge if your car is damaged enroute. More than that, once it's delivered to you, you'll be hard pressed to discover damage that was repaired enroute...

I dont have that information yet. As there are no Mini dealerships in ND I deal with Motorwerks Mini/BMW in Minneapolis. This is my 4th Mini and they are really awesome there and always take very good care of me. I am actually waiting for a call right now from my salesman and I will gladly post any new information just as soon as I get some

I have to say that I'm a little jealous that you guys are hearing from your MA's. Mine was absolutely awesome when it came to ordering the car. I was very indecisive when ordering and he was great with dealing with that. I got an email the next day from him with my build info and the production number and asking me to finalize the order. I did, and then he said he would contact me when it went into production. Since then, not a word from him. My car is on a boat headed over here and I only know that because of this site (thanks again!). I just don't get why some dealers are so great until it's on them to actually communicate with you, then they just disappear. boo.

Not Quite Yet...

Yeah, no luck for me on Track and Trace yet. I'm not too worried as I have 12 days to cool my heels (or wheels) at Southampton waiting on the Tongala.
All of you celebrating on the Honor, remember...One for you, one for your homies.

Weaf, I'm also headed to GA, and I don't have anything yet either. Hopefully those haven't been loaded yet.

Not to worry for those who've been here since Dec...not getting on my soapbox. I would agree as mine did check in about a week ago for the first time since the order (which I was shocked he called but I also appreciated the call and I get it. To them this is old, they take our order (I believe that system is broken too, at least at most dealers) and tell us they will call us in 8 to 12 weeks (based on the MA/Dealer). What I said before when I was on my soapbox is that a simply email or phone call once per week to just say "Hi and any status changes that they are aware of". Hell the first week they could skip as we all know it usually takes 2 to 3 weeks to go to production. And they could skip another 2 to 3 weeks at least once it is at the port before crossing the ocean. That little bit of contact after such an investment would give everyone a bit more of that warm feeling that leads to lots of referrals which will only help the MA make a lot more money.

Getting off my soapbox now.

No they have not been loaded but that was the problem last time as they never got loaded.

Just waiting to see something checked in that is being sent to Brunswick GA.
If we miss this ship, the ship on Sunday better be ready to fill all remaining space with Minis destined for Brunswick GA.

I've even gone to Google News looking for reasons the ship may not be going to Brunswick, GA but all the news was good, no strikes or anything.

Not at port. Not released to the carrier to even head to port. But sitting at the factory in QC for 5 days.

Not that any delay is good but in my book a QC delay that is actually catching issues is always a good thing in the long run even if they hurt in the short run. I'd much rather have my baby in perfect working order then a year from now find my self with a major problem due to poor workmanship or something minor that should have been caught before it became a problem.

My last company was a national restoration company that once they stopped depending on the insurance companies to do Q&A and started doing it in house insurance companies started asking to work with us. It was cool to listen to a Q&A person call a home owner and ask about everything only to find out one part was not up to par to the customer's standard (not someone elses). They would immediately call the location responsible for the service and notify them to call the client and make the issue right! Customers would go out of their way to tell the insurance companies how great our service was and how we took care of everything. (Note I was just the IT guy that maintained the entire local and part of the remote infrastructure - I could fix my own house more or less someone else's.)
