Absolutely. Currently in body shop per ask mini. Projected completion date of 07/03/2012. People at ask mini are very friendly. I have called 2X. seems like they are quite used to excited customers and dont mind giving updates.

Hey All!

About a week ago, I ordered a 2013 MCS Chili Red! My MA still has not sent me the production number. He told me that builds do not begin until the first week in July... Maybe that was the next available co-hort for the Princeton Mini... I do know. I am super excited! And so anxious. My Mini will come with the cold weather package, sports package with black rims; black stripes; black housing lights ;white turn signals; xenon lights; and traction control. I want black fog lamps but was told by my dealer that the 2013's might not offer them anymore so if necessary I will settle for chrome.

The one thing I was uncertain about was having my color line be red. Right now my dash is silver and the color line is black, but I am wondering if I should go red. Does anyone have any thoughts. My only concern is that the red will make the car look cheap; however, I love the color red.

I ordered my car from Princeton! Who was your MA? I ended up going there after a not so great experience in Philly.

If it were me, I'd go with the red color line. The materials are the same, only the color is different. So I've never had the impression any one color looked cheap. I actually prefer interiors that aren't so monotonous, and I think Mini does a great job of adding a punch of color without going overboard

I have a royal grey Countryman on its way, with black gravity interior, anthracite headliner, and went with the red color line, just so the whole inside wasn't black.

I think it would like awesome with your red exterior.

Red color line with your chili red mini sounds like a great look.

... I am trying to tell myself that anticipation and waiting for my MINI will be fun
... ... not so successful with that brainwash job today.

Wohoo, my status changed to scheduled for production yesterday. I just called and was told the projected completion was 7/6... I'm thrilled, but I was so hoping for a 7/4 birthday

I contacted my MA and he told me it was too late to make any changes because my MINI is in production... bitter sweet... it is what it is. Now it is time to wait and watch as my MINI is created...

When did you people get your orders in for 2013? I'm still waiting for mine to say more than "your order has been received". Waiting and looking at accessories to personalize the MC that I don't yet have.

I ordered mine on 6/11 and got the production number on 6/21. (It might have been ready before that, but 6/21 is when I called to get it). It showed as order received on 6/21 and switched to scheduled on 6/29.

Thanks for the info on when you've ordered. I was thinking it might take a week or more to get mine from "order has been received" to "scheduled for production". But, I ordered on 6/28 and the owners' lounge has updated the status this morning. My BSE is scheduled for production. Doesn't say when, but at least the order is showing my car in metallic rooftop gray, now.

For this time of year, yes. They shut down the factory for a few weeks when they switch over from one model year to the next. So it's either shut down at the moment, or just coming back up and getting ready to start building the 2013s.

I don't think it will look cheap at all!

I like the way you think...your build is pretty close to what I started with. Chili red/black w/black stripes and black rims. I only changed when I decided that I really wanted the aero kit and it was more cost effective for me to do it with the JCW package (plus I love the red stitching on the steering wheel/shift boot).

As for the red color line, I based my interior on a JCW that they had on the lot that had the RR color line and Carbon Black/Red seats. It's not real "classy", but if I wanted classy I wouldn't have ordered it in Chili Red with black stripes and an aero kit!

Call Ask-Mini and give them your production #. I called when it said scheduled for production and it was on its way to paint. That was Friday.

866.ASK.MINI

Right now their automated system is giving me a date of 7/6. Some people have posted that live operators can give you more detailed info (paint shop, assembly, etc) but the person that I spoke to didn't know anything beyond it being in the production stage (and didn't have the 7/6 date).

I wonder when is the cutoff date between 2012 and 2013 MCS.

I placed my order on 6/13. It went into production on 6/20 and finished on 6/27. Mine is a 2012 according to the VIN decoding.

Did your MA tell you that your order will be a 2013? My MA did not tell me, but I assumed that it will be a 2012.

My MA told me it would be a 2013 because all the dealership's 2012 slots had been filled. I would have had to wait for a 2013 even if I had been able to make up my mind on the 15th of June.

Oh, I'm so jealous....was so hoping for the 7/4 birthday. It looks like they are doing some models earlier than others since I ordered from the same dealer before you did.
