I can't wait to get home to see if I can find that boat on Google Earth. It's K-line and can't be tracked but I thought I'd try that!

I envy you on this as I'd love to take the Mini Tour after watching several of the videos on youtube about it.

You would think that a production facility with all the automation and updated systems that MINI has would have a little more to offer as far as updates to the customer facing information systems. They could save gobs of $$ and get MINIs to us faster!

Don't bother - Google Earth's images are months and in some cases years old... Heck the images that Google Earth has of my home are more than 3 years old...

Weaf - I'm well and truly stunned that your car hasn't moved... A bit disappointed too...
As for the tour. We finally got to do that on our second trip to England in the fall of 2004. It was a great experience for a lot of reasons- not the least of which because we made contact with somebody who worked at the plant via MINI2. He drove down to London, picked the three of us up, drove us around Oxford a little, watched our then 13 month old for 2 hours while we went on the tour, and then gave us a lift over to the bus depot so we could make our way back to London.
I'm sure things have changed since then - but here are a few photos from then...

Great pictures! I love the Austin Powers Mini with "Submarine Mode". I might just make that a joke addon to my car!

You just gave me some hope! I'm in CA as well, but never heard of the Capriconus Leader. This may be another mystery ship like GG's 'Gentle Leader'. My girl missed the Tombarra on the 10 and I thought I had to wait unitl the Tongala left on the 26th.
Can you tell me where you got that info? Was it through WW?
Thanks so much! Though I know I shouldn't get my hopes up....
