I can't wait to get home to see if I can find that boat on Google Earth. It's K-line and can't be tracked but I thought I'd try that!

I envy you on this as I'd love to take the Mini Tour after watching several of the videos on youtube about it.

So played email tag with the MA and a manager at the dealership. The manager has stated that they verified nothing bad going on and that the process is just stuck at QC (for 6 days?!?). But they have no explaination why it's stuck there?

You would think that a production facility with all the automation and updated systems that MINI has would have a little more to offer as far as updates to the customer facing information systems. They could save gobs of $$ and get MINIs to us faster!

Hey Prodigalson and everyone that might be on the Athens Highway, I'm in MS also, when I got my MINI it to came in on that boat, I'll see if I can find the link to track it, and yes Texas processes thru Brunswick. I bought from the Baton Rouge Dealership also (Adam T) was my MA, he kept me informed thru the entire wait with updates on its status and even gave me the call sign of that boat.

Thanks WilliamRobert, I'm also getting mine through Baton Rouge. It's getting pretty close now, so I am fairly excited. I can... almost... taste... it. I will definitely post car **** up when it comes in.

Don't bother - Google Earth's images are months and in some cases years old... Heck the images that Google Earth has of my home are more than 3 years old...

I know exactly how you feel, picked mine up on Jan 5 and made the run up 55 and didn't even get a ticket and of course I stayed under 4000 rpm the whole way. I'm still grinnin ear to ear every time I get in it.

Tombarra is now a mere 4980.8 miles from Port Hueneme!

I wasn't getting position updates for a couple days, but apparently it passed close enough to some islands today for its position to get reported. So exciting!

Weaf - I'm well and truly stunned that your car hasn't moved... A bit disappointed too...

As for the tour. We finally got to do that on our second trip to England in the fall of 2004. It was a great experience for a lot of reasons- not the least of which because we made contact with somebody who worked at the plant via MINI2. He drove down to London, picked the three of us up, drove us around Oxford a little, watched our then 13 month old for 2 hours while we went on the tour, and then gave us a lift over to the bus depot so we could make our way back to London.

I'm sure things have changed since then - but here are a few photos from then...

Great pictures! I love the Austin Powers Mini with "Submarine Mode". I might just make that a joke addon to my car!

Hey Weaf,

Are you sure you're not on an untrackable K-Line boat? That may be why you're not showing up on the WW tracking site...

Hi! S'poreSTI!
You just gave me some hope! I'm in CA as well, but never heard of the Capriconus Leader. This may be another mystery ship like GG's 'Gentle Leader'. My girl missed the Tombarra on the 10 and I thought I had to wait unitl the Tongala left on the 26th.
Can you tell me where you got that info? Was it through WW?
Thanks so much! Though I know I shouldn't get my hopes up....

New acronym for BMW/Mini that applies to almost all Minis once they leave the completed status, in reference to their actual location: WTHK

Anyone want to take a guess what it stands for. Hint: No real bad words in it.
