Meanwhile, the OL said it should be delivered to the dealer on 2/22, and I got the email from him today (2/23) stating it was sitting at the dealership. My port was Baltimore, MD, and my dealer is in Cleveland, OH, so it's really only about a 6-7 hour drive away.
Classic seems to have slightly different info on the ship's arrival than what W&W posts in their trackers... Even though W&W has been showing the ship arriving in Baltimore this Wednesday, Tiffany was telling me that it was coming in on Tuesday. Although she sent me an e-mail last night with an update that the ship was arriving on Wednesday...

This really strange. Manon has moved and is docked at the end of Doremus Avenue in Jersey City. It's strange because I worked as an electrical foreman building the Essex County Jail not more than a 1/4 mile up Doremus. I was getting new prints and saw smoke pouring from the trade center with a huge smoke ball about 300yards from the building. Within 20 minutes the second plane flew right over our heads headed for the second building. So, my joy at having my new car on shore is definitely diminished by the events of that day. It all was in full view only 2 miles or so away. For weeks we watched, first the fires and then the scrap yard next to us cutting up beams and girders with oxygen lances.

Ok I'm beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel. My Mini is finally in production and I have a VIN#. I figure another 2-3 weeks? Can someone post the websites to track the ships again? I am confused about which one to check. I'm in NYC so luckily will be a bit faster.

Thanks! And congrats to those of you whose wait is finally over!

Best,

LG

The things we do for our MINIs...

But the good news is that Tombarra has reached Panama! Woo-hoo! Now just another week to reach California, then a week(??) to get prepped and trucked to NorCal, and all this back-breaking work will seem worth it. Right?

Be careful..if you jack yourself up you won't even be able to get out of bed to go get your Mini when it is ready for pickup.

The itinerary says Panama on 2/23 (today) and Port Hueneme (California) on 3/4. So that suggests 9 days for the trip to CA.

So the entire trip from England to CA is taking how long? I looked back and can't find when the ship initially left? Thanks!

Oops, guess that's what you were asking previously.

The whole trip takes 21 or 22 days, but it feels like 42. I forget exactly when my ship left, but I think 2/14. Seems so long ago...

Thanks! My first post was not real clear. I was just sitting here trying to calculate how long my "waiting" would be. I ordered a SO Roadster the end if January. Got started in production on 2/22, so my wait will be much longer. At least the end of waiting is drawing close. Be sure to post pictures!

2013 R59S/SO/Black Stripes/Manual ordered 1/30

Oh, I'll definitely post pictures. Photography is a hobby of mine.

And checking my own signature, I see that I mis-remembered the departure date: Tombarra actually left Southampton on 2/10. That makes more sense, anyway, since it has been at sea for almost two weeks now.

From start of production to CA delivery is at least one month, but typically longer, since you don't always get put on a ship as soon as production finishes. Those darn ships don't have daily departures.

That's awesome news! Now comes the horrible waiting as she cross the ocean. I know you and I ordered our Mini's from Motorwerks so I can tell you what they told me 2 days ago. As I have to travel from ND to pick up my car they told it usually takes 8-10 days before it'll arrive at Motorwerks from the time it hit Baltimore. So I have purchased my train ticket so I will arrive the morning of the 14th of March. So with any luck I'll be motoring through your city on the 14th!!

Good Morning everyone!

I just wanted to introduce myself over here. Just yesterday I had placed my order. My MA was saying I should see her in 6-8 weeks. Lucky for me, the port is only an hour from the dealer

Until she arrives, I will still be driving my 2002 A4

Obsession is an understatement.

Judging by your sig, I'm sure you're more more impatient than me considering you only have a week and a half.

here's the link to the main thread on NAM: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...d-updated.html

however, i'm a nice guy so i'll summarize for you

WW line can be tracked here:
https://att.2wglobal.com/gstattweb/o...uickSearchPage

Use your car's VIN in the Cargo ID area.

However if your on the other line, its a bit harder to track from what i've heard (mine baby is on the Titania, a WW liner):

KermitClin - the race is on... Will you pickup at Classic first or will I? I suspect that my MINI will be rolling into Classic either on the 2nd or the 4th...

I'm definitely feeling impatient! The pick up delay is due to a trip with friends we've been planning since last spring. We've all be looking forward to it for so long and our excitement level is so high, it'll help take my mind off the wait... at least for a few days.
