Tomorrow is going to SUCK in that I will be BUSY as HELL at work ALL DAY! And won't be able to go get my beautiful Mini until 5:30 PM and between finishing up all the paperwork, the inspection part and the going over with my MA on all the different parts of my new Mini....I won't actually get to buzz down the road until around 7 PM or shortly there after.

But when the time comes that I can drive her off the lot.....EVERYONE in Jacksonville, FL better get the HELL OUT of the WAY!!!

Wow Jolly Rancher that is a long wait. Why did they tell you it was going to take so long? Is it still at the VDC?

We will keep you company!

Ponyup, she came in through Port Hueneme. Can't believe she'll make it from the docks to the dealer in 60 hours -- that is impressive!

Good thing we are on opposite coasts, there wouldn't be room for both of our Mini's on the road!

What design are you doing on the roof, I want to do viper stripes but I am not having to much luck finding someone here. :(

Looking to get the giant Umbrella emblem put on the roof from Resident Evil movies. Red and white on top of that shiny black roof.

Already have this for the side rear window http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...500_AA300_.jpg

It is to help it stand out and a bit of a tribute to my oldest son whom loves Resident Evil. (He didn't ask for any of this but he is really excited to see me make the car look like it has something to do with Resident Evil and my two Boys (17 yrs and 11 yrs) are my world so I enjoy doing anything that makes them smile from ear to ear as they are both really great kids.

Hey Weaf, what time is it? Hang in there it won't be long now. Kinda like being a kid at Chrismas time eh? Interested in seeing your Resident Evil concept come together. Enjoy the moment when it arrives!

Trying to decide which grill badge to put on the MINI once we pick it up...

Believe it or not, but we've kept word of the new MINI pretty low key until now... We mentioned it on our podcast on Monday, and spilled the beans to White Roof Radio just before they recorded this week - so there will be a discussion about it on the next WRR, so the word will really be out next Monday when they post their next show...

I feel for you, I watched the damned clock like a Hawk all day yesterday thinking I could will the time to move faster. I thought I did move it about 10 minutes and then realized I had been day dreaming. Hang in there, you will make it and it WILL be worth it....

Thanks, GG. I have no idea why it's taking so long, but I can't stop thinking about that poor Mini at the VDC with the crushed roof We do have a number of things to be done at the dealership: sunroof decal, mirror caps, sport stripe, scuttles, and sport antenna. I was told by folks on our local Mini club forum that it generally takes 2-3 days to transport up the coast to Seattle and it's usually just a day or 2 at the dealer, so maybe we will get it a tad earlier than the estimate.

JollyR-- My MINI was also on the Gentle Leader. It docked on schedule on 2/27-Wed. and left the Port of Hueneme at about 4pm, back out to sea. Was actually there and saw it undeway to its next destination--cool sight! Anyway--my MA couldn't tell me much other than "it arrived and that it might take a few day, but sometimes sooner." Talk about being vague. Yet the processing center is down the road from the port approx 1 mile, and my dealer is just a few minutes away... I feel your pain...

You didn't happen to see a kite blue hardtop with (uncrushed) white roof and sunroof, did ya?

11:22 AM so in my mind that is close enough to noon. Half day gone...another half and a short drive left to go.
