Monty at the dealer lookin all homely and unkept, still in his protective wrap. Anyone know how long the MSO and safety check usually take?

Just got the call from my guy, my roadster just got off the truck. Will be ready for pickup tonight or tomorrow morning. What could be better, it came on my birthday.

My MA at Mini of Pittsburgh said it usually takes 2-3 days once the car gets there, until you can pick it up. I'm sure the clean up, inspection, etc., can all be done within a day. But I was told the paperwork is snail mailed from the port, and can take 2-3 days longer to get there than the car.

I just checked the WW site and now it says the Integrity will be at Baltimore on Aug. 5th instead of Aug. 3rd.

I was told Monday evening is when it will most likely be ready for pickup. MA said he's saying Monday evening so I'm not disappointed. I have a 4 day weekend this weekend and am really hoping to have the car by Friday But I guess Monday night is better than 20 days from now so I shouldn't be so bummed!

 

Congrats, Strgzr! Monday will be here soon, at least you know where it is. I'd love to see the Kite Blue in person -- how about you leave Monty at the dealer until I pick mine up later this month??

On a side note, there seem to be 4 or 5 of us active in this thread picking up in Pittsburgh -- either they're doing a great business or we're just an impatient, slightly-OCD bunch!

I still don't know where mine is. OL says awaiting transport, Live Rep says in transit. I know it hasn't gotten on a WW boat and of course we can't track K-Line. I'm not getting much help from my MA on the whereabouts either.

I'm living vicariously through you guys until mine is here.

 

I'm guessing you're on the Athens Highway! Go to www.sailwx.info and do a search. That boat left a day after the Don Juan that Jeeves is currently on... guaranteed he's at the blackjack table with a G&T in hand.

P.s. they only show if they give weather / position reports. K-line has a pdf of their schedule you can pull up.

 

I would take that with a grain of salt. WW said August 3rd at first but all the tracking I've done said it will arrive tomorrow. Last week the WW site said the 4th. The boat is just off of Long Island now, I don't see how it could take 4 more days.

 

Seems more likely to be Friday, like it was originally scheduled. Sure can't wait to get out of this fiesta and into my new MCCS!

Tarbot, I hope you're right. I know mine was done along with yours and some others on this thread. Everybody seemed to get lucky and land on a WW boat...besides me.

Hopefully he isn't causing trouble, I am naming him Sir Voorhees after all. I should have expected as much, he started production on the 13th.

Oh well, back to the popcorn.

On a side note, can we get some other snack food in this place? I've about had my fill of popcorn!

 

GreyNation, I'm in the same, ummm, boat with you. I think our MINIs finished up at the same time. My MA phoned yesterday to say that his info shows my MINI still waiting at the dock, and my VIN has never registered on WW. He also said, though, that it was just as possible that she's on the Athens Highway, and the system just isn't showing it. Anyway . . . It's cold comfort, I know, but you're not alone!!!

 

O.K. Just returned home from the dealer (and a short ride, of course) and only have this one pic of "MINE" taken outside the showroom while I waited for the paperwork.

 

And I am soooooo running out of popcorn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

So I am hoping that my car is ready by the 11th since I have to pick it up on a Sat so if any of you other 4 getting yours out of Pitts. if your on that day we can try to do lunch lol

Felix arrived in PA yesterday from the NJ port. Accepting delivery early next week! So Oscar and I took a little trip down to see him before he is cleaned up and looking spiffy.
