More ****

Didn't post this before 'cause there is a sad side. Percy has moved on, but here he is in happier days, Frolicking in the back Garden.

Twstgrp,

I know you didn't have to post those older photos of your previous Mini but they are appreciated as I remember the yellow ones but don't see those anymore and my first ever car (1972 Datsun 510) was bright yellow so I always have a soft side for cars & Minis for that color.

Thank you she looked like a beauty and your new Mini will be even that much more appreciated as you have the respect for Minis more than most as being a previous owner.

Have a FANTASTIC WEEK!!!

EDITED: I always include the images in the quote when I feel they need an instant replay. A bit of a tribute to your previous Mini.

Guess I'm from the old school that thinks Classics are cars from the 30's. LeBaron Chryslers, Auburns, Cords, Packards, ect. But in saying that, T-Birds of 55 thru 57 could be classified in that vein. My 38 Ford Standard Tudor Sedan is called a Classic, and I correct them immediately. It's a HOTROD. Which I refer to him as my 1961 hotrod, as just about all the changed and parts could have been used in 1961. Except the A/C and Mustang style front suspension. even the Hemi motor is from 1957, but this is not about Mini's, it's about my other passion.

And my Mini r59 is in the Paint Shop according to 1866-ASKMINI. They're spreading a bunch of Pepper White paint all over that paint booth, and now I imagine that they are spreading all around the interior, sealing up those areas. My Lil Ragtop tells me that he can't wait for the red and black accents that I've told him about. Yes, my wife says I'm crazy too. And this is my second Mini too.

Twstgrp: You've done what I intend on doing, getting pictures of the two guys together, I guess saying good buy to each other. Kind of neat, and many years to come should be interesting seeing. Have fun!

Our Lil Ragtop is in the Paint Shop too. Could be a good possibility that they will be ship mates later this month, when take that Luxurious Cruise across the Big Pond. Maybe even cabin mates. Bring on the Champaign and Beer. Might as well toss in some cuties and pretzels too.

The downside to having an all white Mini is a situation like today. I have my Mini for one day and it snows here. I'm in the South....WTF? The good part is, I can see the tracks where I drove it down the driveway at least.

You should try and keep Midnight Black clean in this weather. I haven't had a, kind of, white car for close to 20 years now, that was a 91 Plymouth Lazer all wheel drive. That was a fun car, but I traded it in on a white 95 Neon. That was fun too, but not as much as the Lazer. Never paid much attention to how they looked in the snow, but pretty much all car colors will look bad, even that tannish gold color. Oh well, it'll just have to visit the quarter car wash more often.

Love all the pics!! GG, you must be so happy, your posts are killing me.

Just found out my baby is finished and ready to be picked up by a carrier. . . .I know this will be the most painful part, so I am going to pass the time making some Mini shaped cookies (and obsessively checking the cargo ID tracking website!)

Keep the pics coming!

Oh mbabischkin, you must be beside yourself with excitement!!! Can't wait to see some pics of your new baby!!!

Awww shucks Twstgrp, you're a sweetie!!! Thanks for the compliments!

Looks great but we will expect a lot more photos!!!

Back to the dealer....WTH
Mini had enough time to build you baby twice...there should be a replica somewhere that will allow for organ transplants to keep your baby 100% forever!
Weaf, still at the dealer, been here now since 9am (3 hours and waiting). My hubby just showed up, he's had his fill of the issues. He's a pretty mellow man (takes A LOT to **** him off) but once he gets there, he's a hard one to handle. Funny thing, it took 2 hours for them to tell me they can't recreate the problem and that everything is fine.

Amanda, my NEW MA drove out to the restaurant where we were dinning and she couldn't get it to work (very, very nice of her to do that) so they now it wasn't user error. Just seems ridiculous that 3 hours now and I'm still here and don't know why it didn't work last night. Just so over it.

But trying to be positive and will take tons of pictures once I get her home again!

Boy, you hit the nail on the head! I was in a blissful state once I left the dealership yesterday. It's almost like childbirth, hurts like hell going through it but once you hold that baby, you forget everything and are in LOVE. Yep, that is how I felt last night --- not so much today!

Snow there and gorgeous here. Thing is, you have your Mini and well, mine is in service!!! At least you can turn the heat on, climb inside and play with all her *****.

GG,

Find out what the problem is yet? What actually happened? This is always my panic, especially buying my guy 375 miles from home. Get stranded out in the middle of Illinois, on a Saturday. Of course, in my little scenario, it is probably 6:30 pm and no one is at the dealers. That's what I dread, and would be just about my luck.

Hi all. Still at service but they think the issue is my phone. Hmmmmm, maybe I'm to blame. Still trying to figure it all out. Just thought I'd share the bling.
