Ugh, this buying experience has been so frustrating. My car is still at the VDC...2 weeks now. At least I think it is. The OL says its in transit. Yesterday they were estimating a delivery of Saturday, today they estimate the delivery yesterday. Yes the dealership is like 30 miles from the VDC. Its taken longer to make those last 30 miles than it did to build the car and ship it from the UK.
Left a message with my MA yesterday to call my cell to schedule a pickup since I'm out of the office. Instead he calls my office and now he's out today. I called the dealership to see if someone else could schedule the pickup and I'm still waiting for a call back. To make matters worse, tomorrow might be the last day I have the time to pickup the car in the next 2-3 weeks.
Oh, the OL is always way out of sync. Mine says its still at the VDC and it's sitting on the lot. It said it was still in production after it had been on a boat for three days. It's just slow to catch up. Congrats on the new car!
Haha, the "Track your Mini" link on mine has disappeared entirely. But sounds like it should arrive today at the dealership. Dunno whatsup with Pittsburgh, but mine will be ready for pickup tomorrow at lunch.
Mine came over on the Independence 2, as well. No link here either. MA is gone until Monday. Anyone here anything from Classic in northeast Ohio?
I went with Classic; my car is coming over on Integrity which appears to be taking pictures of the Statue of Liberty since it's hardly moved in the past 24 hours but should be arriving in Baltimore in a few days.
My MA, Neal(who totally ROCKS!), said expected arrival at the dealership is the week of the 12th.
Guys(and gals!), this final stretch is absolutely torture!!!!
Yay, I have my car! I'm happy to have her home...well have her at work... but who can work when she's so lonely downstairs in the garage. Maybe I'll go make sure she's ok...

I was thinking the same thing. I figure it has to do with the inventory at the VDC. More popcorn
Wow! I am thrilled to say that I just brought Grace home!! She is adorable and I'm am excited, nervous, and delighted! Can someone please tell me how to upload a photo?
Thanks!!!

After all this time waiting... I got the call she is here at the dealer! The bad news is I can not have her till weds. My wheels will not be back from powder coat until then. I did run over on my lunch and see her with my own two eyes. She is beautiful and so worth the wait to have exactly what I want.
I ordered on July 13th so I have a long wait. I found a Oxford Plant page that says the factory is shut down from close of business on July 27th until August 28th ! The automated line says build is scheduled to be complete on Sept 3rd so I guess I'm near the beginning of the line when the plant re-opens. I'm figuring on a very late Sept delivery. Arrghhh!
The Owners Lounge keeps changing the options and the color of the car, so I figure it is entirely worthless. Oh well, for those of you who are soon to get your MCs, congrats!
By the way...can someone please tell me where the button or switch is so I can open the gas tank? My MA told me, I am sure....but I was so excited I barely heard half of what he said! Thanks! ~Pam
