Not a bad loaner. When I had my Lil Guy in for radio work, I was given a Countryman S for the weekend. I was rather impressed with it. The same engine/transmission that my Lil Raggi will have, in the beginning. I kept saying: Lil Raggi will be 350 lbs less in weight, and this doesn't perform all that badly. No bad, not bad at all.

Very happy to see Kimpossible and martincohn have both picked up their MINI's. Enjoy and happy motoring!
Talked with my MA briefly on Friday, they're still putting on parts for mine at the port! I won't be able to pick my MINI until at least the week starting on the 8th of April.
Good news though, I picked up a MINI loaner and she's a beauty and blast to drive! Take a look!

Do they normally give loaners before a delivery? Why did they do that?

Ok, here's the latest. Lil Raggi is at the dealerships off sight receiving area. The guy who checks new arrivals in has been sick/off since Thursday. Maria was told that our Lil Raggi was dropped off on Thursday, but not received. Sounds like a mess to me, but I don't run the dealership. They only have one person to receive cars? Is he the same guy that also receives the BMW's as well? So, Lil Raggii gets into the system on Monday, And. Pictures of my REAL Lil Raggi. Bet he comes with the black stripes instead of stripe delete. Wanna bet? They'll just have to be taken off so the red can be applied. Thought I'd keep you ip to date. What a confusing delivery.

A few factors are involved in this. My Bimmer broke down in early February, and its not feasable to repair. Since then I've been in a rental (expensive). My MINI has been at the port/VPC since March 18 and I won't be able to pick it up at the dealership until at least the second week of April. I'm maxing out the JCW I'm getting minus Recaro seats for the most part, so that may be of help. I didn't ask for a loaner, but I'm very thankful for it, I'm sure not going to turn it down. The added benefit of the loaner will be for me to become accustomed to the car and its features (my first MINI).

[QUOTE=Pro5jeff;3710534]5:00 am on the second or tomorrow?
Either way, just four more days for me!
Figure that ships travel at about 500 miles in a 24 hour period. My guess is that it will arrive at 5:00 pm today. Then the aggrivation of the wait for it to get out of PVC and then on to your dealer. In my case, this has been the most frustrating period. And I thought the 8 days from Southampton was bad.
Oh yes, OLMini has noted that my Lil Raggi is NOW at the dealers. Hurry up Saturday.

OL says my Marron is at the dealers. So what does this obsessive new father do?!?! drives two hours to see if its there yesterday. Needless to say, unless they have an offsite lot or they put it inside (cause its that awesome of a car) then I didn't see it on the lot. My MA is back from vacation today so im hoping to hear from his this afternoon or tomorrow. This wait is KILLING ME!!!

The Tiger is just off the coast near San Diego. It is on course to arrive at port in the morning.
I guess I am going to have to name my MINI -Tiger. My R59 is Orange and Black, it is being shipped on the Tiger and I was eating at Panda Express this evening and there on the soft drink machine it has the animals of the zodiac and mine is the...............Tiger! Can it be anything else?

<tuning back into a waiting for delivery thread...>
Fun to read all the comments! I took delivery of Nigel almost exactly a year ago. Followed the Oxford build, his wait at Southhampton, loading onto Tiranna, tracking at sea, an afternoon of watching ship positions in Chesapeake Bay, then docking. Transport to St. Louis. Stalking him at the dealer on Friday, then waiting a couple of long painful days while they sorted out how to teach their shop computer to speak "JCW Tune" for a N18. Finally got him on that Wednesday. LOTs of motoring since.
Just clicked over 24,000 miles, no issues, fun with the local MINI club, MTTS, MITO, and just got home from a 2300 mile round trip to south Texas (and a few runs down the Texas Mile!).
Yes, they're worth the wait!
