I got to see my new MINI for the first time yesterday! Granted the ride height is a little high right now due to it's being in transport mode yet, nothings been done to it other than a quick wash before the pictures. I couldn't get any really great pictures because of the MINI event going on. More to follow upon pickup!
Ugh, you guys who ordered an MCS after me (Mar. 26) are killing me. Twelve days into this and I still can't get the dealer to give me any info. Not even a production number. Best case is they just can't be bothered. Don't even want to consider the worst case. So I'm still crossing my fingers that ours are on the line together somewhere...
Congrats x 2! If you look at my signature line that can give you a base line on how long it will take to get here. Minus a few days due to you being on the east coast. Also depends on what parts are added when the MINI leaves Southhampton and when it arrives in Baltimore. Last and final factor would be getting it aboard a ship, some MINI's have to wait longer that others. Good luck and happy motoring!
Wow, there is really no place close to where you live, Denver is a good choice as any. Plus you get a good start on your break in mileage. I'll be picking up my MINI about the same time as you are, either Friday or Saturday. Can hardly wait!
Just checked the weather for Denver during my lunch break. This weekend looks good. However, my roadster is supposed to arrive there on Tuesday and they are expecting 8-11 inches of snow tonight and tomorrow! Yuck!

Well, so much for that theory. Had to go to the sales manager but finally got my production number, 13 days later. Apparently, because I'm doing a special order to get a colour combo and a feature that aren't normally available on the Cooper S hatch in this country, that screwed them up.
For what it's worth to future Canadians looking for ordering info, what I've learned is:
1. Mini Canada will let you special order options that aren't officially available here, but be prepared for this to add time to the process. This opens up the more comprehensive options list of Mini USA.
2. Although we have no Owners Lounge to track the car online, you can call 1-866-DRV-MINI and take option 3 to speak to a person who will give you production updates. For whatever reason, Mini Canada doesn't advertise that you can do this, but when you call they're happy to help.
Now comes the obsessive tracking of the build. At least living in the same town as the port of entry means no wait for train transport at the end of the process!

MA called and roadster is about an hour and half out of Denver, it looks like it will make it before the blizzard hits! Great news!

Southwest Denver here looks like we will be snowed under tomorrow.
New here.
Ordering mine tomorrow. If all goes as planned.
Looks like 4-7 weeks seems to be the norm on here.
I'm in FL. Does that make any difference? My dealer said 10 weeks.
