I ordered 4/5 and I just called 866 ASKMINI and they said my MINI is in the paint shop (!!) with an estimated completion date of 4/19 (tomorrow), which is right on target compared to what I was told a week ago when it was "scheduled for production."

If it catches the next boat to NY, which is in like 10 days, it might be stateside in around 5-6 weeks from date of order. So experiences definitely vary. Helps that I'm in the northeast though, ships get here faster.

If you've read my experience, you'll see that mine continued to have that status almost a week after the estimated completion date. When I actually spoke to a representative, I found out that it was headed for the port. Looks like 6 weeks or so total is a reasonable ETA.

I'm glad I stumbled on this forum while researching everything Mini on the internet. I placed my order for a Chili Red 2013 MCS Convertible with my MA yesterday (Apr 17th). I was given an overall estimate of 6-8 weeks so I'm hoping to have (him/her-I have to work on a name) by mid June. I'm guessing from reading a few pages on this forum that I will get my production number in a week or so, right? My MA has treated me great up to this point and I hope he will be attentive and engaged in this process.

Finally, my car's status has been upgraded to "Awaiting Transport." Glad I was up at 4 A.M. to see that. LOL!

For those of you that have cars in production, I may have seen your cars last night! I took my dad to the plant in Oxford for a tour which was totally awesome! Highly recommend the tour for those who can make it over for a visit!

Makes me really want to finally plunk down a deposit for my Countryman!

I'll be on the tour in mid-to-late May when I fly home, and hoping to see my Coupe (ordered on Saturday). You never know!

and right on cue, I get my VIN. I might be the only one here hoping that my build goes slowly, as my trip is still 6 weeks away!

Our tour didn't include the body shop (which I guess is normally part of the tour) because of upgrades for the 2014 models, but that part should be Open for your tour.

We did the 6pm tour and there were only 6 of us! Unfortunately though, the gift shop was closed and I couldn't spend my money on trinkets that I so desperately needed.

Looks like the MCS is on the Asian Emperor, due to arrive in NYC on 05/02/13. I guess that means that I could be driving it by 5/9 or so...?

I tried to get a tour in 2002 but they were not giving tours back then. I did get to tour Wolfsburg VW and the Autostadt.

I might make a jump across the channel this summer to take a tour one weekend before I head back to the states.

Chesapeake Highway just now popped up about 15 miles from Virginia Beach. First stop is Baltimore then Brunswick, GA. It was in the dark zone for almost 5.5 days.

You were lucky. The Tirranna, the ship Lil Raggi came over on was almost nine days in Dark Zone.
But, he finally got here. Then it was another nine days from Baltimore to Schaumberg, Il. That was on account of that snow storm at the beginning of April. That sucked.

Our Mini is on the "Courage" and is mid way. Schaumburg is our delivery site as well so I'm hoping to have her in about 2 weeks.

Patricks moves them out quickly, once they receive them. Don't know who your MA is, but Maria was the best, also the Financial people were great too.

Anyone have any experience having a car transported to AZ? We are currently awaiting transport. I imagine a few more days and we will be moved to "en route" status. I'm curious about how long it took to make it across the pond.

Thanks.

Your MINI will be transported to the west coast so it will take probably 1 to 1 1/2 weeks longer because of the distance, Panama Canal etc.

Welcome aboard! I picked up my R59 on April 12th. It took 21 days to get from England to CA.

My MA called me this morning and told me that production has started for my car. I ordered on 4/17. On 4/22 I asked if I could add the Automatic Climate Control after reading some reviews on NAM and he was able to modify my order the same day. He told me that my car could possibly arrive at the end of May which would make the total turnaround time from order to pick up at 6 weeks. I'm on the east coast so I assume that has a lot to do with it. OL still has my car listed as "On Order" so I agree with everyone else that it is best to stay update between your MA and 1-866-ASK-MINI.

Sounds like your MA is on top of it. So far mine has left a bit to be desired. It seems like he could care less, about anything.

Chesapeake Hwy docked in Baltimore yesterday at the BMW VDC. Today it moved across the canal to a different dock to deal with another mfrs equipment.

Does anyone else here have a Mini on this ship?

It took only 10 days to travel from Southampton to Baltimore.
