Mignon - 5/18 NJ, 5/22 VT
Hey Chimera - I just had a call from my MA at MINI Burlington. My first MINI will likely arrive at the dealer 5/22 evening. After dealer additions, I should be able to take delivery on Friday, 5/23. Very excited!

6-8 weeks from the Midwest. My JCW Hardtop was ordered April 22, QA'd May 2 and has been sitting at the factory ever since.

Ours have now gone into production, due for completion next Friday. I suspect its not actually in the factory yet, that takes about 8 days. The status seems to change to in production a little before it actually gets to the factory.
Other good news is the lounge is now showing the right options.

[QUOTE=TraceH;3743409]I managed $300 over
over invoice? I got a $2,550 discount (including the $500 credit for the spring cleaning event). My car was on the higher side, so maybe there was more room to negotiate, but I'm surprised they wouldn't take something off the car. Since you haven't picked it up yet, maybe there's still time to bring down the price.

I'm surprised to hear how different the market is out west, it would almost be worth it to buy from an east coast dealer and have it shipped. I contacted 6 dealers and gave each of them the same specs, they all gave me at least a $1,000 off and most were willing to try and beat my lowest offer.

Back from my trip but still can't get a delivery date nailed down. Maybe tomorrow, maybe not. At any rate, I was in the area so I stopped by the dealer to at least look at my car for the first time.
They did a sloppy job cleaning it--greasy fingerprints all over the place; someone used a tire shine spray and got the overspray all over the black plastic trim; cosmoline dripping out of the hood... but I didn't see any dealer-installed swirls or scratches, so that's the important part.
Bad cellphone picture, but there it is, next to an M3 in Frozen Red matte paint.

The White Silver looks great, kavatski.

Awesome! I'm still in England but just got an email from MINI of Burlington that my Coupe has arrived! So excited, but I won't get to see it until the 30th. You might see mine there when you pick yours up on Friday. Enjoy the MINI delivery experience, the first one is always the best.

Mr. T: I agree, especially when the difference between doing this detail job vs. the kind I expected would have been about five minutes with a microfiber and some QD spray. It's raining all week anyway, so I'm not going to dwell on it.
I hope your experience is much better. Must be down to the last few days now before yours is ready for delivery.

My roadster landed in Baltimore on 5/19. The Tamesis left today from Baltimore on its way to Savannah, GA. I'm sure its at the BMW VDC right now. Not sure how long it will be there, or how long the transit time is from Baltimore to Chicago after its released from VDC. I'm assuming the middle of next week or perhaps, the week of June 3rd. Still not bad for ordering early April.

I understand you indicated you saved $2,550 (discount+$500 spring cleaning). What was your amount over invoice before the $500 spring cleaning sale discount?

It's 866 -- and the best advice I was given was to call there and ask to speak to a representative (although mine seemed a bit befuddled). I found the website to be as much as a week behind, and never less than a couple days.

The car was completed 6 days later, but the OL still showed scheduled for production - which it still shows today, 3 weeks later! So, I guess I'd say the tracking system is great for confirming your order has been received and checking to make sure all the specs are correct, but beyond that, it's pretty worthless.
You're much better off calling 1-866-275-6464 (1-866-ASK-MINI) or checking with your MA for updates, but sometimes a car gets stuck in Never-neverland, where no one knows what's going on (that doesn't mean there's a problem). For example, my car has been sitting at Oxford for a full 3 weeks after QA for no explicable reason, but no trouble codes have popped up, so I' m not going to stress out over it - beyond just wanting to take delivery in the originally promised 6-8 weeks, which now is starting to look doubtful.
