Maybe your first top-down run will have to be downtown. Aren't there some covered, lower-level streets around Randolph and Navy Pier?

Get the Roadster Today!
My MA just called and we will get to pick up our Roadster this afternoon. It just got off the truck late Thursday so that is a quick turn around. Guess we will be heading to the Smoky Mountains to drive the loop at Cades Cove and then on to Gatlinburg. Will take pictures if we ever stop and get out of the car!!

Picked up my R58 yesterday, it's been a fairly painless road for me since I've been here before and knew what the wait was like - also didn't hurt that I had 2 weeks in England at the end including a MINI factory tour The R58 is great, I wanted something "not normal" and Coupes are the rarest of the MINI models right now. It's already turning heads.

Ours was in the paint shop last night according to ASK MINI. Still estimated for completion today, that would be motoring to get finished in a day. Its now past the 31st in the UK.
I just rang again, its now "released to a carrier and awaiting transport to the port". That was quick.
His VIN is not recognised by WW yet.

Side note, only the full website shows your locale. The iPhone client and mobile website do not.
Congrats! That 4 weeks will be killer. I am hoping mine is done with production this week and will be on a ship soon thereafter.

Hey everyone!
Thought I'd join this thread while I'm "patiently" waiting for a MCS Bayswater to be built just for me!
First time going through the waiting process, as my current MCS Camden was part of a dealer's inventory. I don't have a VIN yet, but my dealership said that delivery would be at the end of July, which coincides with the end of my current lease contract. It will be a long wait, but I get to enjoy my Camden for a few more months, which I can't complain about! Would've probably bought it if it hadn't been in a bad wreck 2 years ago... https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...8-post338.html
My Bayswater will be a real treat though, as it's even more equipped than my Camden! Only thing I'm still pondering about is the Eclipse Grey/Black color combo I picked. Hoping I'll love it as much as White Silver/Black. I know EG will be tougher to keep clean, but I'm afraid I'll miss the contrast between a black roof and a light body color. But the Bayswater will look totally different than my Camden, so I guess I shouldn't try to compare the two, but appreciate them both for their respective characteristics! Guess I'm just afraid I won't love my 2nd MINI as much as my 1st one... Who truly gets over their first love anyway...?!
Cheers!
Lili
