My bad

Custom was probably a loose term. When I ordered it the only option I had with the sport package was the Bonnet stripes. Well, the factory stripes were not applied, so the dealership applied Roadster stile striping right in the show room while I settled all the paperwork.

Noobie mistake, but the vinyl guy did ask for my exact specifications and applied as requested... somewhat custom

Got it, thanks. Those sport stripes look good on your MINI.

Given your son has an R53, is this your first MINI ?

Well,

I was a former Tacoma enthusiast. Had a 2008 Tacoma Access Cab, SC, decked out. My Son was supposed to take ownership of my truck upon graduation. He kept begging me for a MINI. We stumbled on this 2006 MCS at a Toyota dealership. Long story short, Toyota bought back my truck and I made $8000 from the deal. R53 was mine til my kid returned from Basic, and today I am a proud new owner of an R56.

Fun fact is the "like father like son syndrome." We are both in the Military, both own MINI Hard Top S's, his being the last year of the R53, and mine the last year of the R56. Classic

Very cool. Thanks to both of you for your service. Which branch ?

I'm retired Air Force and my son just signed up for delayed entry. He's going to take ownership of the 2005 Hardtop and I just ordered a 2013 JCW Hardtop. We have a lot in common!

Oustanding. Thanks again to both of you for serving, from a retired E-8.

We have lots of military members here, both active duty and retired.

Is there any other way to get the production number other than through my MA?

btw...the MINI was pretty uniquely packaged, so it'd be extremely doubtful they'll find my configuration elsewhere in the country.

EDIT: Got the production number!
Checked it out on the owners lounge and it's already configured properly in the system, so now I can sit back and be even more impatient, lol.
Ha Ha It is a waiting game.. But glad to hear you got your production number!! That's your first step..lol But still is an exciting one!

Will be soon. On the truck to the port. If WW ships it, the Tiger leaves for the left coast on June 14. I hope it makes that one. Next one doesn't leave until June 29th!

I checked the K Line schedule, but they don't seem to service Port Hueneme.

Is WW it for the left coast, or is there another line I should be checking too?

Your MA will certainly have it, but if you post your location, others here may be able to tell you. If you are on the west coast, say the Rocky's and west, definitely Port Hueneme in Oxnard CA.

The other two choices are NJ and SC. Those are the 3 locations BMW has a car facility for receiving shipments.

If, perchance, you're on a 2W boat, you can enter your VIN in the CARGO ID tracking and find out what boat it's slated for.

Here's mine:

Pretty sure Baltimore is another big receiving port for MINIs. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Just enter your VIN in the cargo field.

If you just want to check the outgoing shops at the port thru WW Logistics:
