Ordered JCW Roadster from John “MUNGO” Genduso at MINI of Pensacola - hoping for delivery in late September. There are four other MINI dealers that are closer to me, but John displayed the greatest product knowledge and was the most helpful. Three of the dealerships were owned by Sonic Automotive Group, I was not impressed with any of the three.

Just picked up my wives black on black on black on black Mini Cooper yesterday. We had gone into the dealership 2 months ago and tried to order her a car... but alas they said that they were no longer taking new car orders for custom builds.

But we picked up her midnight black mini, with black leather sport seats, black 16" wheels, black alcantara (I call it what it is... felt), all piano black dash and door inserts. I am currently searching out black replacements for the chrome on the outside.

First impressions of mini's... very fun little car with great handling and good power to weight.

I am a VW guy myself, my car is a MKIV Jetta with a 1.8t reflashed to unitronic stage 2 (23psi) with a 3" turboback custom exhaust, no-lift-shift, launch control, aftermarket intake, aftermarket intake manifold, full air ride suspension and so on... BUT this car truly fun.

Look what finally arrived in my garage today

 

Here's the two pictures my MA sent me this afternoon; he said if you look closely you can see the truck. They were taken right after it was unloaded.

Looks like I'm going to pick him up Wednesday unless I can bribe the service department to get it checked in earlier.

Excellent! I know all of us who have had to wait ate more than a little popcorn along the way. But consider this, a friend of mine ordered a 2013 Genisis Coupe 6 weeks before I placed the order for my MINI, and he is still waiting and the dealer has no idea when the car will be delivered. That's 14 weeks and counting.

 

Yours arrived with the bayswater stripes! I'm so jelly. Just got off the phone with my dealer and he said the stripes are on super backorder:/ He said Mini didn't have the stripes but didn't want to hold off releasing the cars...from your pic, it seems I'm being fed more crap:< Anyone else get a bayswater and have the stripes come on it?
