i got a baker street edition and it came without stripes. i had the car for about 3 weeks before the stripes made it in. i wouldn't worry about it too much... it was actually cool seeing it without the stripes and then with...LOVE the addition the stripes add.

 

Am I just being impatient? I know that my car came in on the 8th or 9th, but I still have not heard from my MA. He has not told me that the car is at the VDC, on its way to the dealership, when I should expect it this week or next. Nothing. I feel like I should have heard something, right? Just curious... I just do not want to have to always be the one that initiates the conversation, you know?

 

minibered2013 - Your car should be at the VDC as yours I think hit port the same day as mine. My MA called me last night to tell me that it was at the VDC and usually they get through quick, but could take a week depending on how many they have. In my experience with my last two the VDC goes quickly and the it's on a truck a headed your way!

 

Do you think I could have it by Thursday or Friday? This weekend I am going to OC, MD and wanted to drive it down...

Grey and minibered, what does the OL say as the estimated delivery date for your car?

I know it may not be completely accurate, but I was quite surprised when I saw the 13th (tomorrow!) in there for mine. Perhaps that would give you an idea.

Based on that date and a few other things that have to be sorted out, I'd be VERY happy with a pickup time scheduled for my coupe next Saturday.

 

My car was unloaded from Integrity on the 5th and arrived at the dealership on the 9th. I don't know what manner of sorcery they used to get it through the VDC and to the dealership that quickly but it only took 4 days to get from Baltimore to Cleveland and get checked in. Maybe I lucked out and the VDC was emptied of all the first production week 13s that were being held and my car was one of the first loads dropped off after.

 

My car was @ the VDC on Aug 5th. It arrived in St. Louis on Aug. 10th. I called my MA to ask a question and she told me it was in. The OL and the ask-mini phone line both say it's in transit. I would definitly call your MA.

 

Timing must have fallen nicely in line with their other car deliveries. Mine didn't arrive at that same dealership (assuming it's Classic) until yesterday, and it was on the Integrity with yours. My MA mentioned that they like to wait for enough BMW's and MINI's to fill a truck to be available before they roll a truck.

You get yours yet?

It took me forever to find it, but find it I did. It says the 14th! Woohoo!! Even if it does not arrive until a day or two later I still will get it for my trip. Thanks skylinezx!

edit - just found mine it says the 24th still.

minibered - depending how far you are from the VDC I would think there is a good chance that could happen.

Mine is at the VDC in Dundalk, MD. No estimated delivery date, but it's got to hitch a ride to GA before a date can be provided. Only a little more popcorn to eat.

 

Yeah, I picked it up from Classic Friday afternoon. Already over 400 miles driven and just a hair below half a tank on the first tank.

 

/jealous. Maybe, by some stroke of luck, they'll get my JCW kit installed in time for a Monday delivery. That would be....awesome

They should be able to; when I was looking at getting my windows tinted they told me that if I had it done with them it wouldn't delay picking up my car at all. I held off so I could shop around a bit more.

 

My est delivery date to my dealer is 8/13! Should have him in time for next weekends road trip.

 

Well my estimated delivery was moved up to the 22nd this morning. I'm hoping it comes in before then. I'm sooo ready to get out of my CUV I can't stand it. Ready to be back motoring in a MINI again!

 

At last, definite news! My MA called today: my MINI is on the California Highway, which is currently docked at Baltimore. Due in to Brunswick on Thursday the 16th. (I spent the last 10 days tracking the Athens Highway, so I was a week off.) He said maybe delivery would be late next week, but he also told me a while back that the time between unloading and showing up at the dealers can be as short as 3 days . . . or as long as 10 days. So I think he's saying late next week as the conservative average.

Just so glad to finally know where she is!!!!

 

Thats great news! I guess you stayed an extra week partying in Southhampton!

 

Oh, no: now I'm picturing my sweet little girl hanging out around the docks, batting her eyes at the sailor-boys . . . picking up some salty language, maybe . . . I hope! Won't she be fun to hang out with???

 

Finally Just picked up my MINI will try to post crappy cell phone picks when I get back going out for a little drive

 

They told me mine will probably be ready mid to end of the week. The install time on the JCW stage 1 kit is a bit long. I'm hoping it won't be quite that late in the week though.
