Yeah, sat at the port longer than it took to build it. But this is a big step in the process as all you guys who have been through it know.

Pretty sure I'm going with JCWOW. Unless something else strikes me before I can actually apply for the tag.

Now THAT is just too much space. That MINI is going to need therapy to survive the hours of loneliness.

Very nice space !

I think that garage could easily hold about 6 MINIs.

Well, for better or worse, my dilemma from last night is over...car at the other dealership was sold yesterday (guess they don't update the website after hours). Obviously would have been nice to save some coin, but I still know that I'm going to end up with an awesome car, exactly as I picked out.

We built a three-car garage with an attached house too. If you make the garage a couple of feet wider on each side and 4 feet wider between the large garage door and the small garage door, you easily can park 4 cars side by side. (Three of them go in through the large door, which is 2-feet wider than a standard builder-spec double-car garage door.) Best of all, doing it this way the garage doesn't look like it's too large for the house.

We also made the one-car garage extra deep (extending it alongside of the back of the house, so it looks like part of the house), so there's room in front of the car for a workshop area. If we needed to, we could park 7 MINIs in the garage - 3 across the front and 4 side-by-side.

Garage square footage is cheap to build, so get what you want - you never know when you'll need to add a 5th MINI!

Our Roadster S is passing through the birth canal as I type!!! We won it on wheel of fortune when my wife nailed the bonus round puzzle. The puzzle was BROWSING, so we are planning on getting vanity plates... probably BRWSNG. Too bad you can't use 8 characters in Jersey.

Out of curiosity - do you have to take out a car loan to pay the income/sales tax?

That is kind of a personal question. You have to pay the tax of course, but whether or not he has the cash up front to do so is, well, personal.

Sounds like a great garage you have !

Yeah, we could easily extend the garage toward the back of the house. Still in the very early stages of planning a new house but here is the plan we like best so far. Check out this great garage space:

Wow, that's not a word that easily pops into your mind. Do you remember what letters were showing when she was able to guess the word ?

Just found out my '13 Countryman JCW is waiting for transport to the port! Owner's lounge was way behind 1-866-ASK MINI!

I'm starting to get reeeaallly antsy waiting for this car. Can't wait to be back in a MINI.

YAYYY, he's been built ! Now you have the part that ended up being the longest wait for me and probably a lot of others... waiting for it to get on a ship. longer than the build time, longer than the ship's voyage time. Longer than VPC time. My dealer prep time may well end up being longer, we'll see.

But it's a big step for your MINI !!

Nice - and the house isn't bad either. I like how the JCW will get its own space.

You easily could extend the length of the garages (as viewed from the front of the house) by a few feet just by changing the roof rafters. (Or, you could go totally nuts and put 10-foot ceilings in the garage so you could install a lift!) And I assume you'll have floor drains in both garages and a water spigot too, so you don't have to detail your cars in the rain.

One thing I've heard for years is people complaining that there's not enough space in their garages for storage along the sides of their cars - usually builders get cheap, so there's barely enough room to get the car doors open.

He doesn't have to answer.

I was just wondering. I mean, winning a $25k car means roughly 8K in taxes... plus sales tax for your state...

It's like congrats! You won a car payment.
