Well after a week in California, the CM finally is making its way towards Colorado. According to MINI it should have been here last Wednesday. Now the new pickup day is Tuesday the 2nd. I was really looking forward to spending the weekend with it. Going in today to finalize the paperwork so we can get all the discounts that expire today. Should make pickup on Tuesday a breeze!

 

@ Zip and E: Next ship is the Courage. Leaves July 3rd... 12 days to arrive in Baltimore, must stop somewhere else first.

After that, the Tamerlane. Leaves July 6th, 8 day trip to Baltimore.

So either way, I'm looking at a July 14 or 15 arrival in Baltimore.

I'll have it in my hands by early August.

Seriously, have you checked the Southampton Port website at http://www.southamptonvts.co.uk/Live...Ship_Schedule/ for ships alongside, inbound or outbound? Look for an RO-RO bound for Baltimore that's not a WW ship. That may give you a clue.

 

Could be in a raft being pulled along.

Wow, it sure looks like they loaded it and took it off the ship a minute later. I've never seen or heard of anything like that. Maybe they drove it into the side of the portal on the first try, and had to back it up and try again.

(Or maybe they can't count, which seems more likely.) it's just another example of minaccuracy.

 

LOL... yeah, the took it off the manifest, returned to shipper. Then just a minute later, back on the manifest. Probably a processing error. But yeah, I'm not going to believe it 100% until I see the ship pull into Baltimore Harbor with my MINI strapped to the back with those bungee cord things.

 

The Michigan Highway is in the English Channel and on its way to Baltimore! Congrats!

Or you could check in the OL, and find out it's just been scheduled for production. Or call 1-866-ASK-MINI and find out it's still awaiting transport to Southampton.

 

Yeah, SG... I was tracking that ship as it left Southampton this morning, our time. Then I saw that inquiry where it was showing "returned to shipper". Stopped watching the ship. Now I'm back on it. About to leave the channel and enter the waters of the North Atlantic. Long voyage but short compared to many other Waiters' voyage.

Now I'm checking the WW site every 20 minutes to see if they change my status again. Paranoid much ??

 

I gave up on the OL a week ago. Useless. And ASKMINI is just an eyelash north of useless.

Yeah, I saw that, even posted about it a couple days ago here. Lucky "7" and "JCW" and due in 7/7. Almost makes up for being jerked around this morning.

May also have to do with the way the shipper scans the vehicles onboard and off if they have to move some vehicles around the ship to balance the cargo. Also, it may have to do something with the way the shipping company process the bill of lading on their systems. I've seen company shipping manifests updated hours and even days after the loading actually took place.

Appears to be the case, Zippy. But I'm going to keep checking my VIN for another day, at least, before I feel 100% confident. Guess I shouldn't have checked my VIN on the website this morning, I wouldn't have been thrown for a loop when my status was temporarily changed to "returned to shipper" and I wouldn't have created any drama on the thread today. Wonder why it took them so long to change that status again even though the "received at terminal" status was changed just a minute later. Weird stuff.
