Yeah... a week is not going to make any difference in the long run, but it's just nice to know what's going on with your new MINI and not be guessing.

Your situation reminds me of the day when I called ask mini 3 times in about 15mins time... Talked to alive person but each time I called I got a different answer.. By the third time when they told me my MINI had made it safe and sound in Germany I was like whaaaaaaat It was then I thought I was going to need therapy They had me soooooo confused I never ever called back again!! To be honest if ask mini was toilet paper I wouldn't even use it to whip my bum

Haven't called them in over a week and haven't checked OL for status even longer... both are pretty useless.

I think the next time I order a new MINI, I'll do what I did with the first three new ones. Just order and wait for the MA to tell me it arrived. A lot less fun but less stress too.

That may be what happened. Put a huge dent into it, and drove it back. Then the Mini rep said "No, stick it back on. The DC can hammer that out, and put a new grill on it. And both headlights, and stick a bit of Bar's Leak Stop in the radiator."

Ha Ha true true..lol... I found that tracking with the resources we know is much better.. Or I feel its more time correct and more correct in general.. I think the only thing the OL is good for is to know when your car goes into production at best..even that's sketchy..

Mine seems a bit weird as well - I assume it is still on the MH.

Okay, they put you through the same weird status updates. Seems yeah, they needed to back the transactions out of their system and then re-input them. But yes, shipmate, I think we are on the Michigan Highway and sailing across the Celtic Sea right about now.

Let's hope! Didn't know I could get so excited about a marine traffic website and a little green ship tracking across the sea - didn't have this info on my last journey from Southampton - this is much more fun.

Agree ! I've pulled up the marine traffic sight about 10 times today to watch that little green "ship" move ever so slowly across the screen. At least the ship, in reality is moving at about 18 knots so it's nice to know it's not really moving a quarter inch per hour as it seems.

There hasn't been any updates on the Tombarra's voyage since June 26th...

Hope everything's ok with the ship!

It's likely just outside of AIS tracking range (I.e. the middle of the Atlantic Ocean). As the ships get closer to ports, they are sighted by AIS sweeps, in the middle of the ocean there's no coverage for that. Rest assured the shipping companies respectively know precisely where these ships are though.

What a journey for the ones getting on and off the ships. Motoring update: enjoyed zipping around Annapolis and back roads of Columbia MD all day, stopped at the farm for fresh fruits too. It's been a great start to the future motoring. Wishing you all the best of luck across the Pond and then to the dealers into your hands.

It's worth the wait!
The BR color is so amazing in all the different lights of the day, even at night it has a glow. Glad we went with this color.

Learned something new, our MA explained how each production week vendors can change so programming and features could change.

Ie: we got the updated BT mics and modules, but the metal key in the door lock doesn't close the windows and sunroof. Also, our non connect has the voice commands, and works well with the phone functions.

Sounds like a great motoring day, Q ! A little warm and humid out here today. Guess you broke in the AC as you were breaking in the drivetrain.

Started with AC, then went to open windows and sunroof while traveling back roads, the shaded areas were nice and cool. Felt bad hearing about those that got the convertibles this week and had so much rain they couldn't enjoy some real top-down motoring. So we open air'd in their honor

You guys on the MH really should have paid for deluxe accommodations. Look in the middle of the port side of the Carmen - After getting bumped off the Tampa, I got a window seat for my voyage on the Carmen!

A window seat right smack dab in the middle of the side of the ship. Lots of nice salt air hitting the new paint. I think I prefer to be strapped the butt end.

Few things in life relax me like washing two MINIs early in the morning. One of them was the SUV-sized behemoth, CM with white wheels, which should, if all things in life were fair, count as three MINIs. Man, that was one compound sentence.

Hopefully I can learn to be relaxed by washing my CM when it finally arrives...in like 8 weeks.

I assure you, it will be a labor of love. I can't imagine the number of hours spent over the last 7 years taking care of our MINIs. But keeping them clean and polished makes driving them much more rewarding. And invokes a lot more positive comments.

Speaking of which, about to go take a nice drive now, nice combo of places you can open her up a bit along with some areas of nice twisties.

Plenty of those types of areas near you and me as well (as I'm sure you're already aware). Just watch out for any deer out for brunch.
