I go to bed early ONE night and look what happens... two more MINIs delivered ! I bet you guys wish I was feeling a cold coming on every day and go to bed early.

@ Anibus: Woweeeee !! HOT ! We have a JCW just like yours in our local club and let me tell you, photos don't do it justice. Those black-on-black stripes with the red pins really pop in person, as you know. Awesome JCW, congrats !! And yeah, it's been a rainy week and more to come. Get your QD spray and microfiber towels ready.

@ Sdiver: That is one of the hottest Clubman I've seen. Well done, indeed! Love those wheels... ties the whole look together.

@ Q: Now... I've not been so secret about my MINI. I've told everyone about everything on my MINI but one little thing. And the Captain of the MH called me last night... told me he's going to have to charge me for all the crew members he had to assign to keep the seagulls from pooping all over my MINI strapped to the back of his ship. Damn.... wasn't budgeted for that.

 

For anyone waiting on the Tombarra to head to NY, here it is in Halifax Harbour this morning. It came across from the Autoport (on the other side of the harbour) and is being positioned by tugs. The Queen Mary 2 ocean liner is the other ship in view.

 

Hey, cool! That was my ship! Is it my Bayswater I see in the parking lot?!?!

 

So I'm driving a Countryman S All4 for the day, and I've already whacked the center console trying to open the driver's window. (I also folded the mirrors trying to adjust them, but I'm not going to tell you about that.)

 

A least it wasn't the Captain of the MH calling to tell you he's going to have to charge you for cleaning up after all the crew members who were pooping all over your MINI strapped to the back of his ship!

 

Hmmmm... guess paying to keep the seagulls away isn't so bad after all !

Maybe it's just me, but when I think of black MINIs I either assume black or red roofs.

 

You do realize that's the same Red Roof MINI but covered on the protective wrap they use during shipment, right ?

Yeah, they don't even offer a white roof option on the black JCW, pretty sure of that. Either black or chili red.

 

CR...whats the status of your MINI? Anything good to report?

 

MA's system finally caught up with what we knew days ago, I'm on the Michigan Highway.

Should be about halfway across the Atlantic now... left on 6/29, due to arrive 7/7. It's been out of range for AIS for a couple days now.

Did I miss your post about picking yours up ? Weren't you getting it like yesterday ? Or am I not remembering correctly ??

Hey MD Minis, did you get off work early and take advantage of the rain break? I finally got to wash, clay and wax the CM. my neighbors looked at me weird as the sky continues to darken for tonight's Tstorm, but at least I managed to spend some quality time with my MINI so she feels welcomed and taken care of

 

Great news, CR – Your car just hit the port in Baltimore.

However, remember how the shipping company kicked your MINI off the first boat and marked it "Returned to Shipper?" Apparently there was a mixup in Southampton when they were loading your car on the Michigan Highway ...

The Baltimore VDC ha been churning MINIs out rather quickly. Hours. Of course, CR has dealer options worth of wait time too... Right?

 

Yeah, it sounds like he ordered so much stuff that the dealer will be able to buy a new yacht with the profits.

 

WOWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE, that is the hottest MINI I have EVER seen !!! Even hotter than the one I dream about every night and think about every waking moment of every day !! Can't WAIT to pick it up !!!!

 

I am going to have to do something about those stripes though... they seem a bit crooked to me.
