Finally ordered a 2013 Roadster S yesterday...already having those mini driving dreams. Coming from a 1999 Chevy Tahoe, this is a big switch. I don't know how I'm going to wait two months or however long it takes, but it will be worth it I know.

strgzr3745,
I understand what you mean. Some of my friends thought I was acting up because I wanted something extra from the dealer, which its totally not true. It took me over a 3 days making configurations on MINIUSA webpage, summing and subtracting features and prices to get it just how I wanted. Then came the 11 + week wait without a car, and people still think that I wanted extras from the dealer. I wanted what I ordered nothing more or less. In my case, they cant pull out another car in other dealerships because there is only one; therefore, the only choice I had was to negotiate.

Thank you for being supportive and for the advise, and thankfully they negotiated with me what I think is a fare deal.

Got a $250 discount on price, All season floor mats, wheel locks and paint treatment (Xzilon). I was satisfied they accepted the terms and threw in something extra.

I HAVE MY BLACK WITH MEEEEEE

riverac87, I've been following your ordeal and am thrilled that it's worked out to your satisfaction! Sounds like you handled it exactly right: you both get to take Black home with you *and* get part of what you wanted (the fog lights) *and* get meaningful concessions. Well done, my friend. Enjoy!

And it's about time! I'm super happy for you that you were able to negotiate with your Dealer and Corporate to finally do right for you. Sounds like the first place you should drive Black is to take you on a vacation to de-stress from this whole ordeal:D

I dont know if the pic will post, I will figure out why is not letting me upload to my gallery.

Thank you all for your support and encouragement, We worked out a deal that I can say I am happy with.

sixtyplus, everything was done very respectfully and in a good spirit, no fighting or rising the voice so other people would see my discontent. I have to say my MA was very good and professional to handle the situation. I was aware she made everything in her hands, and I understood that the negotiation was in the hands of the manager and district manager.

strgzr3745, I will definitely follow your advise!!

I am watching the storm that seems to be headed in your direction. If the storm come your way, be sure to get that beauty into a safe place. That goes for you too!

I would put in a new order and have the dealership give you a loaner car to compensate you while you wait!
My voice activation also doesn't work. My MA said it is a problem with all 2013s.

greynation, thanks!!! It really was difficult for me, as I became (by the time Black arrived) emotionally attached to the little one. I am also glad everything worked out

1100 miles and I've gotta replace a tire. Driving around today I was on a road with construction and hit a manhole and the front driver's side tire went flat. Going to call around tomorrow to see if it can be repaired.

At the very least, it was an interesting experience figuring out how to get the donut installed and knowing that my tire pressure gauge works fine!

Not sure I would believe your MA -- I just picked up my 2013 on Friday and voice functions work fine.

In fact, I think I will end up using it MUCH more than on my other vehicles since it really does eliminate a lot of twisting and button-pushing to get to various places on the center screen (I have Connected w/ nav).

My voice functions also work. Even used it with the top down.

Is it sad that I'm still checking the OL every day to see if my car has become "Scheduled for Production" even though I know the factory is closed for another few days??
