Whew! I thought I was the only one doing that. It may still be sad, but it is made much less so when you know there is at least one other person doing the same thing. I programmed the MINI phone number in my phone with pauses then the numeric selections and production number. Now if I call, I just wait and the phone automatically dials the right stuff and I do nothing but listen until that voice says "your vehicle is scheduled for production with no confirmed date yet".

Looks good! You should be easy to spot around town. I'll keep my eyes peeled. I actually got my first wave this week, from an older woman in a red convertible.

Well I just joined the ranks of those waiting for a 2013 Clubman. I ordered mine on 8/11. It kills me knowing nothing will happen until at least the 28th when the Oxford plant gets back to work. I just hope mine is not the first car built when the crew gets back (probably no chance of that anyhow.)
My First MINI! My other car is a 2004 Mazda RX8 I preordered in 2003. Both cars handle wonderfully.

OK! Here's my first post (if you don't count the question I just posed to kwolfman )
I ordered my first-ever MINI on August 9. Was given a production number that day, with "Priority 3--Priority Stock" marked at the top of the Vehicle Inquiry Report. MA emailed that same day that he was moving me to "Priority 1--Sold Vehicle." The next day (10th) it was "scheduled for production but no production date yet" when I called the automated ASK-MINI number. I haven't yet called a live person, but I'm going to do that today. It's still at that stage, and the OL still won't even let me register, saying I'm "too quick on the draw"!!
And yes, I realize this is probably because of Oxford's vacation. Speaking of that, I found this link from the MINI UK site:
http://www.miniplantoxford.co.uk/peo...formation.aspx
showing the exact date (that they're on production shutdown until August 28). I sent an email to miniassistance@askminiusa asking if that means I can't get registered on the OL site until then (earliest) and they wrote back (August 21) saying by their records, the plant is currently open....weird. I'm going to continue to assume that the UK website announcement knows more than the US toll-free number
Good luck with the patience to everyone...myself included!
For the curious: S coupe. Pepper white, black roof, cold weather, tech with nav, 16" 6-star twin spoke (i.e. the "free" black wheels), black headlight housings, carbon black color line, pepper white interior surfaces...hoping for delivery well before my birthday (Nov 5)

I just ordered a 2013 Hardtop MINI Cooper in Ice Blue with a white hood and mirror caps. I'm SO excited. this is my very first car other than my 1992 Corolla I got when I turned sixteen. When I ordered it it was on it's way from Europe and its currently on the ocean coming to Utah! The anxiety is killing me! I have one more week before it'll get to me.

I went in tonight to check out the replacement Baker Street. It is complete for it's package and extra add-on items. The panoramic roof has been limo tinted and it looks fabulous. The dealer more than made up for the issues with the car originally delivered. Kudos to the MA and General Manager for making this more than right for me.
This car is gorgeous.
Paperwork is inked.
I've got someone taking me down to the dealer in the morning to pick it up & take it for it's first drive.
CONGRATS everyone on getting and ordering your cars. The wait may feel really, really long, but the grin on seeing your baby the first time... WORTH IT
I was a compulsive Owner's Lounge visitor and stalked the ship tracking sites. Still had some hiccups or tiny roller coaster experience.
Save for driving it home - it'ls mine. Mine. Mine.
I already put a stubby antenna on it. Couldn't stand the one that looked nearly as long as the car.
