Can someone please help me out with posting photos to my gallery? I have tried multiple times and keep getting an error. The file size is under the max so I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

You made me go to your gallery for a peek, GreyNation. Is that a pepper white or black roof under the velvet wrap? The wheels look GREAT. I see the "S" scoop under there, somewhere.

When is pick-up date/time???

 

Soon2be, There's a Pepper White roof under the wrap, and the S scoop is hiding. Pick-up is tomorrow at 10 AM and I can't wait! Unfortunately I have to go back to work after so the first drive will have to wait. Who knows, maybe I'll find a scenic route back to work.

I'll post more pics tomorrow night.

The factory reopens tomorrow! May all our cars receive production dates soon. Meanwhile the 2012 owner's manuals did become available on the owners lounge website. Yet another way to bide the time.

Thanks for the info about the factory being closed until tomorrow. My car has been listed as "Scheduled for production" for 10 days now. Driving me nuts. Unfortunately, I just sent an e-mail to my MA to see if he had updates.

Going to go check out the 2012 owners manual. I've read the older one through twice already. This next month is going to make me a basket case.

Soon2be - I actually went for a drive and then took the photos! It is also VERY worth the wait!

 

Currently, there's a 2006 Pepper White Cooper S hardtop (red interior) in my garage. Shortly, I will be trading it for a 2013 Ice Blue Cooper S hardtop (toffee interior). It will be beautiful. I just wish it would GET HERE.

Funny, in 2006 it took six months to get my MINI and it didn't feel as long as it did this time, when it only took a month.

Greynation what option did you get that changed the fender flares and rockers to white??? O and yea it looks BAD A$$ with the black wheels!

 

Thanks Angry Pumkin! It's wasn't an option. I had them custom painted when it came in. My MA had it done at the body shop for me. You can't really see it in the photo but the gas cap is also painted white.

I have a few more more things to do. I'm going to do the door handles in white, black out the belt line and I have black side scuttles on order.

I hope whatever "facility change" they are talking about went smoothly and everything is back up to speed today. Anyone have a guess as to how far in advance they schedule cars for production. For example, do they pick cars 1 week ahead of time and put them in queue or is it just a few days? My order sheet says that I'm in week 36. That would be next week. But my car is still "on Order" and according to MINIUSA it has been "packed for daily production" since August 3rd with no status change. Just wondering when I can expect something different to happen and if that week 36 on my order form is just a request/guess.

 

I've no idea, but I am hoping that we will soon see some people post that they have moved to "Scheduled for Production". My order is August 7th so I assume I'll see a change after you do.

 

When I called ASK-MINI today the automated system says what it always does. For fun, I asked for a representative. She informed me that my car went into production today and that the automated system was behind their information. She asked me to call back in a couple of days and she would no more about completion.
