A few pics of MINI #2...!

Here "she" is...!!! Was totally and pleasantly surprised about how much more responsive the car felt and how improved the handling was compared to my 2010 MCS...! And how about that new car smell...!!! Yep, I'm in MINI heaven!!!

More pics to come in separate posts... Taking forever to upload...

Gorgeous, Lili ! Verrrrry nice ! Yep, makes me happy again !

BTW, love your driveway too, and the landscaping that I can see.

But back to the MINI. Did you get a manual or automatic ?

Sometimes people are amazed at what I can arrange. Now, where are those green swatches ...

Congrats on the new ride!

Thank you very much, appreciate it!!!

Wish I could take credit for that driveway, but it's not mine, it's my parents'! But I'll relay the compliment! Had to go and visit them right after I took delivery! After all, I blame my father for my passion for cars! He didn't have a son, you see...

Got an automatic, but what I'm thrilled about is that I added a Wired Package to the Bayswater Special Edition! What a visual treat and useful component! Can't wait to explore it some more...

So happy for you, Lili ! It's easy to feel your enthusiasm for your Bayswater MINI !

Yes, pass that compliment on to your parents, please.

Hey... Lili.... where are you and where are our pics ???
I do love my brother hahaha. I didn't want to leave the car at the dealer for a month or two when it could be home safe. Plus, he can save on some gas for two months instead of driving his jeep all over the place.

Oh he's on the lookout for a MCS for a daily

Wow, your dealer must've not had any slots available. I ordered my car on 7/15 and it began production 7/22. Just finished production Aug 1st. It just stinks that he'll be enjoying my car while I'm out in California driving a ford focus through Mt.Hamilton:D

That is what I was thinking. Looks nice, glad it exists, but not in my garage.

Who is showing up in the Baltimore area with new MINIs to show off on Sunday? See you all there I've got a wedding in Cumberland to attend Sunday to add to my 3900 miles since July 2nd pickup... Hoping to get back in time for a nice wash and wax, but we'll see...

Iamlili: nice bayswater! Looks really good.

At the dealer now...not sure about tomorrow, but keeping fingers crossed that I can make it work!

And thanks for the little jab, Spa. At leat I'll have some green mirrors (although they won't be on the car). Hopefully swatches come in early this week.

Were you sitting in the service waiting area ?

I was at the parts counter for about 10-15 minutes. Maroon polo, gray goatee. My JCW was parked in the first row in front of the building.

How funny.

Anyway, how did it got on your visit there, learn anything about your MINI ? Any progress ?

Hey CR & Spa, have you noticed yet that you have to feather the throttle to keep the tires from spinning when you start off in first gear yet? Lol

Ohhhhh Yeah. Very easy to chirp the tires.

And let me tell you, it's way to easy to break the 4500 RPM break in rule.

BTW, I'm at about 350 miles, no POP on decel yet. Some mild burble, very nice , deep exhaust note. But no POP. Yet.

Even at around 5000 RPMs the power is sick. My son had his first ride in it today and he had a huge grin on his face when I merged onto the interstate, dropped it down into third gear and went from 30 mph to 80 mph in two blinks of an eye. Exhilerating ! Yeah, can't wait to push it harder !

And yep, looking very forward to the POPS but being patient. Somewhat.

For sure, 5,000 is a sweet spot
