More impactful than the GP2 rear diffuser ? Aesthitically or in terms of functionality ? wow, big words, can't wait to see them on your JCW !

Definitely more than the diffuser aesthetically. I just don't like how the diffuser extends beyond the bumper. Looks weird from the side. That's just me.

Yeah, I came from BMW and always liked the angel eyes. I like DRLs, I just don't like having my HIDs and all the other lights on to have it

Let's be careful out there ...

OMG!

Early this morning, I decided to take the long way back to the office after a meeting. As I was coming up to a turn, I executed the perfect 3-2 downshift and was rewarded with major burbling and a couple of impressive pops from the exhaust.

Then I heard a much bigger noise outside the car, just behind me and a little off the road. I looked back and discovered that the pops were so concussive that they apparently had knocked down an old barn!

Me too - red accents and use the blue.

Me too - the front belly pan from the GP is already on order, thanks to a 20% off anything coupon from the dealer. Besides smoothing airflow under the car, it directs a little more air around the engine for cooling and keeps out the splash from the road.

The rear diffuser will complete the smoothing of the underside of the car, since the JCWs already have the panels under the passenger compartment; some people swear the change in aerodynamics is worth 1 mpg.

Stop giving me ideas on how to spend money. I'm trying to get a house built and you're trying to get me to the poor house instead !

Speaking of the garage: running hot and cold water, floor drains, through-the-wall heating and air-conditioning unit, 12-foot ceiling so you can install a lift, motion sensor to control the 300-watt equivalent bright-white CFLs, 20-amp (instead of 15-amp) circuits – including a separate one for your compressor and another one for your Air Force Blaster car dryer ...

Then go here for more stuff you can't afford: http://www.carguygarage.com.

We met with a builder on Monday and he was pretty amped up about my garage. Not sure if he appreciated my ideas because he's a car lover or because it means more $$$ in his pockets.

As my dad's best friend used to say: "he who has the most toys, wins"

I'll be broke (because I am married), but now I'll be in debt. I started making a list of mods and it got long and expensive real quick...and then I had to turn the page over and use the other side!

Not sure that will be covered by your insurance.

And sadly, I identify with a LOT of that video. (though the ST question is a no brainer - Picard!)

Close competition ! Of course, I haven't driven mine in two days so you are probably ahead now.
Well, my average is now 33.33 for 6 days of ownership! Anyway, it's not the quantity that counts, it's the quality of the KM/miles between one and its MINI!

LOL, it's not really that big of a list and most of the stuff I don't think I'd ever commit to financially, but here's a start:

Beefier exhaust- just something a little more throaty, but not annoyingly so.
Stiffer sway bar- I think everyone here recommends the nm 22mm bar.
JCW aero kit - love the look, but is pretty low on the list of wants
Roof rack and box- what's not to love
Lower it, maybe
Then a ton of cosmetic stuff: gobadges, cargo/seat covers, polar beige shift boot, window tint, clear bra, wheel spacers

Hmmmm... well, I'm at 12 days of ownership and 490 miles. SO just over 40 miles per day average. And now I have POP from the exhaust so I think I win on all counts.

That's a good list ! You know, I saw an all-black Countryman during my commute yesterday. It had been lowered. And I have to say, it looked AWESOME. Nicest one I've ever seen in person. When the Countryman is lowered as much as that one was, it looks much more like it's older cousin, the Hardtop.
