Someone just posted this on a r59 thread:
"Update: Mini's automated phone system was a full week behind reality. I just learned our Roadster hopped aboard the Tonsberg last Wednesday. That means it will land in Baltimore in two days--this Friday. Woo-hoo!"
Maybe some of us might be as lucky.

For those of you tired of picturing your colors in your head here's a useful site I just found: http://www.color-swatches.com/mini/brand.html
My MINI is Pepper White and I've been trying to describe the color to people. I've been calling it a creamy brownish white. On this web site that is exactly what I would call that color swatch.
I was also able to see the difference between BRG-II and the original BRG. Note: they are both British Racing Green on the web site, but you can look at the model years and find swatches. 2005 for BRG, and 2007 and newer for BRG-II. Interestingly they both have the same amount of green, just the newer version has a bit less red and blue. That also agrees with some side-by-side pictures I've seen of the two.

Haha that was cornie put funny (like all the other "updates"). Probably one of the better ones i've seen though. If your MINIs wait for a cruise is like a lot of ours, it'll be $*&# faced with the rest of ours before the boat even shows up.

I've checked ol 23 times today.
Does it get better after your car goes past the "On Order" status?
I feel like having some kind of date for production would make things better. After all, I know how long it'll take to ship, I know how long it takes to build, at least I'd have a rough idea of when it'd be here.
Just being in the queue though waiting for someone to look at it. That is rough.

Plain sailing after that though as everything takes known amounts of times.

It doesn't really get any better...if anything I think it gets worse. At first it was frustration when it seemed like there were no online updates and they were SOO far behind updating the O.L. Now its been anticipating thats killing me along with the frustrations of watching other MINIs leave while yours stays on the dock. One thing I learned through the process is you can't rely on the website or your MA (If you have one like I have) to provide quick accurate updates. I would call ASK-MINI and some were helpful; others were not. The ones that were helpful were able to tell me what phase of production my MINI was actually in...body shop, paint, assembly, etc. etc. The O.L. tracking was on average about a week behind the correct status. I guess thats one reason I like this site so much. So many people that have and are experiencing the same feelings I'm having right now.

Will we find out if we have been booked on a vessel days before it arrives or will we pretty much find out once its been loaded?

I orderded me a 2013 last Friday! There was an order already started that was abandonned, and I was able to take over that one. It had a couple extra bells and whistles that I wasn't planning on getting, but I'll get it earlier now. Salesman said it should get to New Jersey in about 4 weeks (almost down to 3 now). I just got a basic 2 door, red with a black roof, black mirrors, and black stripes on the hood. I ended up getting the premium and cold weather packages, and a roofrack as well. Wasn't planning on them initially, but I got sucked in. I'm so excited!!

Athens Highway is in Brunswick GA today. Headed to Charleston next. I looked at the schedule for Charleston and she is only loading cars in SC so anyone one the Athens Highway that didn't get off in Baltimore must be disembarking in GA. Has anyone had confirmation that they are on the Athens highway

Habberstad. They are closest to me, and I was initially going to buy elsewhere since they wouldn't budge from $750 below MSRP, swearing they wouldn't ever go lower.
I shopped the whole east coast and got offers as low as $500 over invoice. I called back Habberstad to give them one last shot and they sold the car for $1800 below MSRP. I'm happy they matched the pricing but our salesperson hasn't been the most accomodating thus far. I just called yesterday to see where the car was since it's been at VDC for 6 days. I got an attitude and was told the business manager would call when the car is at the dealer, they couldn't give me any other detail or even schedule a delivery date.
Can't say I would reccomend them.

Good luck with your car and I hope that the service department hasn't changed so you have a good experience when you go in for maintenance, etc.

I've had mixed experience with Habberstad, bot on the MINI side as well as BMW. The MINI service was always fantastic when I had my '09 JCW and that's the main reason I went there, as well as it being closest to me. I worked with Gus on both MINI purchases and he seems like a good guy, but yes you're right that they don't like to budge on price. They still seem stuck in the idea that a MINI is the new gotta have it thing, while that hasn't been the case for many years now. I had to work to get a discount too, and this is the 3rd car I've bought at Habberstad since 2009. Now I just can't wait for the car to get in so I can start motoring again.

My MA reported that I was on the Athens Highway. I should be heading into the VDC soon. My MA is no the best, so I have to pull every single piece of information I need out of him. I'm hoping that things will go swiftly and i can pick-up my car at the beginning of next week!

She is not very helpful at all. My husband bought my first MINI from her on 07, I was looking to upgrade in 09 and she couldn't or wouldn't find me just what I wanted. She never once asked if I wanted to order then. Her service was poor and I started looking at other dealerships and/or cars. Then life got in the way. When the Hyde Park came out I knew that was the one. While I liked the MA in Kansas City, buying in OKC will save us big time. When I built and got loan approval on line I just had it sent to the dealership. I guess she claimed me as her customer and will get the sale after all. That is if Molly comes in soon. I may just give up go to KC and buy one off the lot if I don't here something soon.
