Looking at older W&W ship trackings it seems as though most cars were "booked" 3 days before pick up...considering they are showing no record of my car I wonder if I'll...

A) Be picked up by K-Line instead
OR
B) Be left at the dock to miss another ship

Is the MA the only one that can tell if you were picked up by K-Line?

Owner's Lounge Updated

Mini was scheduled for arrival Sept. 26th, ASK MINI changed from "in transit" to "at port awaiting shipping vessel" Sept 27th. No change in OL. Today, ASK MINI is still saying "at port awaiting shipping vessel" but the Owner's Lounge has updated to "At Distribution Center"!!! Awesome!! I'm hoping for the second week in October to be able to pick up our new baby.

This was confusing to me too. First it has to take a trainride (I think it's around 60 miles) from the Oxford plant to Southampton port. The train is "in transit." Then you wait for a boat (shipping vessel). When you're on a boat, you're "en route." But the WW site is a better place to learn the truth earlier. If you've got your VIN, type it in here in the box to the right of "cargo ID" and push the track button:

Funny thing is that ASK-MINI has reversed: My car was "in transit, contact your dealer for additional tracking information" until yesterday. Now it says that it is at the port awaiting shipping--the same thing it said before it went on the boat. I wish everything would get all coordinated. All that is to say it's so hard to know exactly what is happening with your car without a good MA.
Maybe the Robot means it's at the Port at the VDC and waiting transit (shipping) to your dealership?

I was under the impression that once you get on a boat, ASK-MINI doesn't have any more info for you. I might be wrong about that though.

The Tonsberg just got to Baltimore a few minutes ago!

2 weeks I've been at the Port waiting for Vessel... Looks like we're in the same "BOAT". I'm really hoping mine is on either the California Highway that leaves today or the Don Juan that leaves tomorrow. My MA told me yesterday that the California Highway is one of the faster ships??? I sure hope so. Has anyone's MINI come across on this boat and if so how long did it take to get to US?

Okay, I'm still getting the hang of the ship scheduling but I'm not seeing the Tonsberg on any of the list. Either the WW or K-Line.

Once a ship leaves, it's no longer on the schedule. Those schedules are updated several times a day--and only show future departures. Once you know what ship to follow, there are a few other ways to follow it (WW via VIN, or one of the ais tracker sites).

The ASK MINI people will tell you that once it is turned over to a shipping line then there is no more updates from them until it is received by a dealership. The MA is suppose to know what line and possible the ship it is on. Some seem to be clueless.

If I look on the WW site I am no longer "booked" on the previous ship, so my fingers are crossed that it is getting on the one tomorrow.

You'll love it, its a great car to drive. Do make sure you get the wind deflector, it is criminal that MINI doesn't provide it (like BMW does) but it makes a huge difference in noise when the top is down. Not cheap though.

Can the wind deflector be used with someone in the backseat? The pictures make it look like it obstructs the back. No biggie DH can follow behind in his Rubicon, while DD and I take the Mini.

I don't think it would be much fun to sit in the back with the deflector in your face but you probably won't notice with your legs crushed against the front seats Only time I ever had a passenger in the back was my 110 lb step daughter and she would sit sideways.

LOL! That's how I justified it! I figured DD could just spread out with her legs on the seat. Of course no shoes on the leather. The legroom in the back is so bad I figured I'd just consider it a fainting couch. May add some throw pillows, flame less candle...just treat it like the joke it is.

Finally . I will be sailing on the Endurance. Leaving Southhampton on 9/30 arriving in Baltimore 10/9 then on to Kansas City. Although I have no idea how long it will take to get to KC.

The booking just showed up today on WW track and trace.
It shows I was booked on 9/18.
Recieved at terminal on 9/27.

- Go to this page: http://sagaweb.2wglobal.com/AppSchedules/
- On the right side select "Search by ports"
- Origin Country: UNITED KINGDOM
- Destination Country: U.S.A.
- Search
- Origin Port: SOUTHAMPTON
- Destination Port: BRUNSWICK, GA
- Search

You can also specify date ranges for that last search

Aha, so the WW website is playing tricks on me!!! My track and trace page just shows two entries "Received at Terminal" and "Returned to Shipper", nothing about it being booked on any ship.

But if I click on the date next to "Received at Terminal" it brings up a whole new screen that says I am booked on the Fidelio that leaves tomorrow and gets to CA on Oct 20th. Since I must surely be at the front of the line I have fingers tightly crossed that my car will finally be at sea by the end of tomorrow.

I'd woot but am too exhausted
