ASK MINI has gone back to "at port awaiting a shipping vessel", OL updated Sept 28th to "At Distribution Center". Your timeline looks a lot like mine. I ordered a Cooper S Coupe on 7.27. I got a Production number a week later and a VIN a week after that. My production completed on September 7th and I got to port on the 10th. The Athens Highway dropped the car on the 26th. I was a little confused when ASK-MINI went to "at port awaiting a shipping vessel" after being "in transit" but like you the OL updated on the 28th to "At Distribution Center". The projected delivery in my MA's system was October 1st. As of yesterday it had not been "released to the carrier" so I doubt it'll make it by then. My MA said that it usually takes between 4-7 days to be delivered to Raleigh, NC. If that's the case, I should look for it by the middle of next week. I'm so excited about it as I've wanted a MINI for a long time and finally decided to order one. I have ordered a few cars including a Porsche January of 2011. MINI certainly provides a lot more information that the boys from Porsche and the cars certainly get produced more quickly--it took almost 6 months to get my other car due to allocations and demand. I don't know what was worse: not knowing at all, or having a pretty good idea about the steps from MINI. At any rate, I hope that everyone gets their cars ASAP and I really hope mine gets here soon. Tuesday is my birthday, so a delivery this week would be great timing. My MA is supposed to report back today on any status change, so I'll post just to complete the timeline when I hear again.

Wow, how exciting. I'm trying to convince myself that my MINI is on a K-Line and that's why I haven't heard any new updates. Maybe we're both on the same boat and will be pleasantly surprised very soon that it's here in US. Am I hoping for "TOO" much. Good luck with your new adventure and I hope you have your new MINI to take you there.

Thumbs up! I would too. I can't think of any other thing I've bought, including three different homes, that I have so eagerly awaited. Being able to track and trace makes it such a thrilling experience. If only they did a European Delivery like BMW.....

If you know what to look for, the shipping schedules aren't that hard to figure out. www.shipfinder.co will show the last reported position of vessel, next port & ETA. Go to "map options" then "search" upper right corner of map, If vessel is at sea and not near land, most tracking sites give same info. The Athens Highway stopped at Baltimore, then Brunswick, then Charleston. ASK MINI has gone back to "at port awaiting a shipping vessel", OL updated Sept 28th to "At Distribution Center". Did your MA give you the info when it was on a ship? I'm in Pensacola and I could go to the interstate and wave to your MINI as it goes by....

Yaaa mine was born over two weeks ago. Took a week just to get to the port and I'm still sitting around missing boats. Pretty over it, think im gonna just stop worrying about it, stop checking on it, and just sit back and wait for the day the dealer calls. Kind of like waiting for Christmas...hoping not literally.

I feel quite lucky I didn't order earlier than I did and got caught in the summer shut-down. Ordered on September 4th, will arrive in NY on the Topeka on October 4th.

So I'm finally on a freaking boat, hope to see Molly and the rest of you on with me.

It hasn't left yet so I've asked my sister to go over to the docks and crack a bottle of champagne on it for a bon voyage. Though I hope she knows I meant the ship not on my car

Hi Molly, I've been following this thread for the last couple of days and I have to say my situation is pretty identical to yours at the moment. I've been at Southampton since Sept 13 and missed every single ship (and looks like I'm missing the Don Juan). My MINI is supposed to enter the US through Brunswick, Georgia.

OL and the robot both have been saying I'm awaiting transportation with no shipping information. W&W tracking site has no records at all of my VIN, and my MA has never been able to provide even a shred of information.

Members have already posted on the lack of syncing between reality and OL/robot, so at this point (in desperation) I'm hoping our cars are on a K-line ship. Average timeline (2 week transit) suggests it should arrive the first week of October. Otherwise I shall go insane.

I'm guessing our cars are on the same boat. Where are you located? Doing the math I'm thinking I'll take delivery on the 26th. The Fidelio gets to California on the 20th. We'll see. Need to sell my car and try and arrange better financing! To me it feels like it is happening fast now. So so excited!

Yes,I am on the Fidelio too. Barring some fiasco at sea, should go like clockwork from here. I also have the 26th/27th in mind too. I'll be picking mine up in San Diego.

Of course now we get to track it across the ocean. If you really want to be obsessed you should bookmark the Panama Canal cam and watch our boat go through around October 11th

It's on my calendar! LOL...so crazy!

Hey on another note, I have question. When you shop for financing and the credit union runs your credit, does that effect your score? I remember somewhere that too many inquiries will drop your score.

I think I am coming in through Brunswick as well or Charleston. The last MINI I bought from the same dealership came in via Charleston. Hate to say I am glad that you are in the same position as me but at least I am not alone on the docks. Our cars are probably best friends by now..

Let's see if you will be able to wait. I thought I would be able to but I'm on here and calling the Robot several times a day.

Hey ukpylot, Congrats! I'm so happy you made it on to the Fidelio! Yours is really only like 11 days behind mine.

The wait will be worth it!

Make that at least three of us. Our timelines are about the same. Misery loves company.

you guys are a riot.
everyone: DON'T FORGET MOTORTOBER. my car will be ready on tuesday but i'm, um, "going away until the 5th" and won't be able to pick it up until october 6. find out when your dealers are having their party day (they have food, and MINIs, and stuff, and the possibility of getting $750 off with the coupon. but you have to show up the "day of* the event. baltimore's is october 6 from 11am-6pm. wooo!

caveat: baltimore won't "know for sure" if there will be a cash coupon (they assume yes, since there always has been one), and how much it is, but it was $750 last time, i'm pretty sure. i've managed to convince myself that it's worth $750 to wait the 4 days.

obviously if there is no incentive, lil Mischa will be with me on tuesday. i'll be, you know, cutting "my trip" short and will appear there that morning at opening time.

and hopefully they don't lurk here, because they're not supposed to let them park your car in their lot while you wait for cash money.

Will you be coming in through Brunswick as well? There might be a correlation between our cars finishing in that production week, Sept 12, and having no shipping information at all for the same destination.

And just curious to know, has anyone been able to use the last 7 digits of their VIN to track their MINI using the phone robot? Mine has always said invalid VIN.

It's looking like a pattern. Seems all our MINI's were in production the same week. My Robot is still saying: at port waiting for a vessel, OL says: Awaiting Transport and my MA said he doesn't show that it has shipped yet.

Is that $750 towards an order or purchase that day?

Yes... Brunswick. I haven't tried using my VIN to track it though.
