As excited as I was to see my car moved to "scheduled for production" this morning I'm REALLY glad it didn't actually start yet. I was worrying all week that Edgar would be born on Friday the 13th LOL

 

It will take some quality drive time for a name and auto personality to gel for me.

 

Nope, it's Pepper White. Who know maybe being born on Friday the 13th will be good luck!

 

My Mini is finally set to get on a ship(AGAIN) but its now going to be on the Independence II (oh and it's B-day was July 4th) lol

 

The best car buying experience ever! Price negotiation only took about 10 minutes and got out of the dealership in one hour. Unfortunately, the salesman told me that I missed the July production slot and have to wait for September. I told him that its a long wait and I needed to be compensated by a free set of wheel locks. He said "How can I refuse".

 

Placed my order for a '13 Highgate R57 (iced chocolate) on the 4th of July. Currently on order in the OL, waiting for a production date and VIN. CANNOT WAIT. And yet: the wait is sooooo delicious.

For a name: I'm an English major, and also a Southern girl, so I'm thinking Bonnie Blue Brontë; Brontë for short.

If the 2-week interval between ordering and production holds, I'm hoping to see movement next week. Looking forward to tracking along with you all!

Negotiate? What's that? Mine basically told me the list price and that was it there IS no negotiating at MINI dealerships around here. And pmknhd: yet another with free swag

 

Ordered 2013 MCHS with premium, tech plus nav, cold weather, hyde park(chocolate with pepper white), black headlamps, chrome exteriors for $31,312.00 for $29,999.00 plus a free set of wheel locks.

 

From the schedule it looks like you will be on TOPEKA which leaves on the 16th Just a couple more days.

I was not able to negotiate the price on my first mini in 2006 but i was able to on this one. There was a mini to dealer rebate in July which I took advantage of

 

I feel like an idiot... I ordered my '12 coupe 5/10 and took delivery two weeks ago. Definitely did NOT get a good deal, and had no idea the 13s were coming out so soon... Wonder if I should have waited. This kind of pisses me off.

 

I ordered a 2013 roadster on 5/22 and it's on a boat and should have it in two weeks.

 

alexroet - sorry to hear about the bum timing - but I am sure that your ride is sweet! My dealer wouldn't even let me place an order for the '13 until after 1 July.

 

I ended up saving a bunch by waiting to get a 2013 since the bluetooth/usb is included standard now and they put the sunroof back into the premium package. Before negotiating the price I was already $1700 under what I was expecting to pay even with the base MSRP increase!

I knew I had to have the car and with the pricing changes I didn't really play hardball but I did get $500 off which according to KBB and Edmunds was average for this area which was fine with me. :D

Okay, so I'm jumping into the fray. Ordered my MCS convertible - chili red w/ polar beige interior on June 23rd. Thanks to the diligence of you smart folks, I'm able to say "Catherine" is on the TIRRANNA enroute Baltimore. ETA is the 15th. When I showed my husband a photo and track of the ship, he said we have waaay too much time on our hands. Alas, he is correct. Time can't pass quickly enough...

Hi all future new mini owners. I am happy to see this thread! So I am getting ready to order and I am driving myself crazy with options. I am sad that the red option for seats has left and the wood dash, though maybe it's good because I cannot seem to decide! The hardest choice that I am having is color. I don't seem to have any clear favorites. My current car is really bright blue green metallic and I think that I am ready for something that is calmer. I just tried this color combo and kinda like it, but then again, is it too weird of a choice? It is White silver (a color that I totally overlooked before) with a white roof and white stripes. So very low key, but maybe elegant? What do you guys think? The other one that I am looking at is the ice blue and that choice would save me 1500 because it is a free color and also for some reason to get cloth seats the only choice with the white silver is the cloth and leather option. The second image is of an old mini with a more silver color, but it has a similar vibe.

 

Hi, Kimberly! From what little I've seen around my dealer's, I really like the ice blue. It's very close to neutral, but still pulls you a bit, like robin's egg blue, but not as strong. If calming is what you want, I think this would do it.

Yep! As Winston's mom said, I ordered a fully loaded 2013 JCW Roadster today! I ordered from Ralph Schomp and they told me that I had the honor of being their first 2013 JCW order. Yahoo!

I went with Chili Red, all the packages, black driving lights, Lounge leather "Championship Red" seats, and finally the MINI Connect with Navigator. I was told that it won't go into production until Sept so I have a ways to go before production!
