The $750 isn't stated on MINI USA's site. Most people contacted their dealers and it's in line with previous Motor Tober events.

Beautiful, I am jealous, enjoy. 2 weeks and two long road trips to go for me.

RichieA and a few others posted about a $750 rebate a few posts above. My only concern with this sale event, is keeping my MINI at the dealership any longer than it has to. A few months ago I went there for a test drive, and my (future) MA gave me a JCW Coupe that had just arrived and was waiting for its owner who was scheduled to pick it up later that same day. Now although I like to preserve the life of any car I drive...... this was a test drive for a JCW, so I may have driven slightly aggressively. Long story short - I don't want my MINI driven by a stranger looking for a test drive

I'm not sure how to find it through their site, but Google works: http://www.miniusa.com/event/rsvpredirect.action

Hey guys! I'm new to Mini's and just getting ready to pull the trigger on ordering a new 2013 Hyde Park Clubman S.
I'm confused about the October sales event that is going on. I know it involves a $750 discount. But is that in addition to any regular discount I could have gotten from my dealer? I started talking to him in September.
Also I sat in some leather sport seats and they were uncomfortable (too tight of width.) do those break in? I don't see anyone else complaining. Most of the $1,000 upgrade seats looked to be based on that same design. I sat in some Hampton seats and they sat good. Do I need to go all the way to the $2,000 seats?
I almost bought a 2011 Hampton last week but it was auto and at the last minute I realized I NEED to shift. Found another (manual shift) loaded 11' Hampton with 8,000 miles but he wanted $30,000 and then got cold feet on selling it anyway. I think he did me a favor. I think I can get the brand new Hyde Park S with everything I want for close to $32,000.
The only bad thing is my wife is going to require me to sell my 2001 Mazda SE Brittish Racing Green and I LOVE that car. But the Mini's are cool and make a much better daily driver (at least I think so.)

Really sorry for the huge post...
What a coincidence, I also think your car looks really good. It's like they were separated at birth, no pun intended. Keep us updated.
Yes it's legal, and quite common. The customer doesn't legally own the title of the car yet.
The October sale is for customers who are about to order a new MINI, or are awaiting delivery of a MINI they ordered previously and is about to arrive soon. Whether it applies to you is a question you need to ask the person who you are in contact with at the dealership. Ask them what day the sales event will be.
As for the seats, my opinion is that the standard seats are perfectly comfortable and functional. The sport leather seats provide a tighter feel (aka can be a bit more uncomfortable in longer journeys) and the Hampton seats (in my opinion) are not worth it because of how good the standard seats are. Unless you really don't like the standard seats, I wouldn't recommend an upgrade.
Finally, good thing you didn't go for the $30,000... $32,000 on a new one is definitely a better deal.
I was hoping for the same thing, but it looks like it will only appear a few hours before docking. I tracked another ship, just out of interest, and it just popped up in the docks already, with a few previous hours of tracking available.

I think you can use the VIN on WW's site to see if it's part of their cargo. Might be faster than the OL or Ask Mini.

It seems unlikely I'll be on it, so it looks like a minimum of 6 more weeks until I get my car (2 week wait, 3 weeks on the boat and then a week on a truck to get up the coast) putting me around November 21st delivery.
That will be a 9 week order time which isn't too bad. They told me 8-12 weeks when I ordered it.

Looks like there is only one ship about every two weeks that departs from Southhampton for Port Hueneme, CA and the next one leaves in 3 days.
