Hi!

I've been lurking for about a week, but am now too excited to keep my mouth shut any longer.

My Cooper S convertible (Sir Basil Pepperwhite) is currently in production, scheduled to be born on October 12. This means I'll miss the ship to CA leaving on October 10th, but I'm glad I have you all to keep me company (and sane) while I wait for the 23rd departure and long trip to the Pacific.

I'm glad to be among people who understand my excitement! And I've learned so much about the process from ordering to delivery here. You guys are awesome.

I'm quietly hoping for it! It is at the port right now.

Congratulations! If I miss the ship on the 10th, we'll probably be traveling together.

I haven't named mine yet. I don't really know if it is a boy or a girl.

Congratulations. I hope the anticipation and waiting doesn't get the best of you. It's been tough waiting but if all goes as planned mine should dock in Brunswick tomorrow very early in the am...

Don Juan has reached Halifax three days ahead of schedule. I wonder if they now have to sit there in port until the ninth? T'would be awesome if he/she gets to New York earlier than expected.

For your sake, I hope we're not on the same boat. But it would be fun to have someone stalking the ship with me!

Congrats on "Black"!

Having had two black MCS already, I am quite envious! (see my gallery.) This time I just felt everything black on a Clubman would be too much, but I toyed with the idea of calling it "Gomez" if I had gone all black again. Enjoy the stick. Its a fantastic gearbox!

And for CA_cath: Tick-tock, tick-tock... Waiting is tough, but before you know it, you'll be giving words of encouragement to newer newbies! In the end Sir Basil will be well worth the wait!

My husband and I find ourselves when we're driving around looking for MINI's. Just to see how many different ones we can spot. It's so much fun. We visited family this weekend and today when we got home my DH said it was the most aware he's been on that 3 hour drive. I smiled because I knew it was because we were looking for the MINIs.

Looking sharp!

That's not a chrome roof, is it?

Oh, and the hood scoop is a shiny chrome -- it just looks sort of brown here because it is reflecting the fall foliage!

Historically the voucher could be used at any MINI regardless of where you attended the event. As long as things haven't changed, then the answer is yes.

http://www.vesselfinder.com/ says the ETA is 4:00 am, which I believe changed from 1:00 am when it left.

Looking good. I especially like the wheels and the stripes over the bonnet and boot (I can call them that without being cheesy as I am a Brit)

Thanks! It took 3 days of posting on different forums and threads to get an answer. Much appreciated.
