Just got word my MINIs on a truck to the Annapolis dealership today!! Depending on when in gets in, afternoon or evening, I'll be picking her up tomorrow!!! Will have pics before I graduate out of here!!
Lucky! Not only did you car go into production faster than mine, you're not expecting to wait 2 weeks at the dock!
:Jealous:
Weird. I did take over a previous production number (when I tried to register on OL, it gave me a different car). Maybe that had something to do with it? Or maybe it takes them a while to get that spiffy Highgate edition out. (I so would have taken it if it came in the S Hardtop).
On the flip side, you'll be able to drive yours right away while it will take me weeks to learn how to drive a manual.
i just installed a greddy blow off valve type rz to my R56 s model 2012 but its not functioning tho the vacuum hose is already connected to the wastegate..is there any body here knows and show me the diagram of where to put the vacuum pressure hose tq
My ships ariives in CA tomorrow, so I should get my new JCW next week! Getting excited now
I'm still waiting for transport from the VDC to New Mexico, landed 10/4. Mine is the only MINI coming to New Mexico off of the 10/4 ship, there are 7 BMWs though.

Oh, my MA told me on Saturday at our Not So Normal Sale, that when cars are off loaded in Brunswick, before they can be transported they have to go through customs. There is VDC there in Brunswick. Here's an article I found telling you BMW has 3 VDC points in the US and Brunswick is one of them. So our cars won't be transported to SC.
I hope so! I got my info from an article listing Charleston as one of the 3 VDC's. I think we aren't the only one's who are confused since a thread was created with someone asking the same question. I guess they may have created another VDC in Brunswick because your article is more recent.
No, but I checked the WW site (http://sagaweb..2wglobal.com/AppSche...countryList.do) and looks for ships leaving Southhampton for Port Hueneme and it lists the Topeka leaving on the 23rd. I think that's what I'll be on.

When I gained access to the OL, I didn't have a different configuration than what I specified, so I assume I was added to the back of the line with a fresh order. Also, it seems as if there was a scheduled plant shut-down over the weekend or on Sunday (I thought the factory was 24/7?), as I was originally scheduled to be completed on the 6th, and that got bumped to the 8th.
Stick isn't too hard to learn - first gear is the toughest, but a friend of mine says that as far as sticks go, his Mini is about the most forgiving he's ever driven. I haven't driven a Mini with a stick.
I'd have opted for the manual, but my wife refuses to even entertain the idea of learning, and she has to be able to drive the car when she goes off somewhere without the kids.
Go to this link and put in your VIN as the CargoId and see if it's booked on a ship. Mine doesn't show up, so I'm thinking I must be booked on a K-Line ship. If yours doesn't show up, you can remove a few characters from the end of your VIN and get a list of similar VINs and see what their statuses look like. Most seem like they're booked 1 or 2 months in advance.
Edit: Some vehicles seem to be Booked the same day they arrive at the port, so there's always that
Has anyone that has a Mini on the California Hwy hear from their Mini Advisor when they there Mini will arive at the dealer ship & if so please say where the dealer ship is located.

My MA said it should arrive by Monday, I live in Miami. LowcountryScout also mentioned his ETA a few posts above.
Also, my MA said it will go straight from Brunswick to my dealer, so I guess there's a mini-VDC (in terms of size, not our car brand ) in Brunswick. No need for a transfer to Charleston VDC then.
But I don't think my MINI has officially entered the VDC yet. OL and ASK-MINI have not changed from "en route" and my MA only said it arrived at the port when I asked 5 minutes ago. Has anyone heard an official status change?
