Darn... That's quite annoying. The problem with this whole tracking thing is the lack of deadlines. I was OK with waiting for this Sunday or Monday according to the ETA, but if the ETA becomes meaningless we'll have to wait with no info again. My 8 weeks ends this Monday coincidentally.

 

He said that the ETA that the OL is saying is usually an estimate of about 5 days from the date it off loads at the VDC. My 8 weeks is Tuesday from when we placed our order.

 

OL is saying my car is at the dealer. Still won't be ready tomorrow but might see before lamp installation when I go to the sales event.

 

MA e-mailed today, my Mini is on a carrier and has left the port, it should arrive tomorrow, as tomorrow being the event i will sure to be there at some point during the day, must likely now it will be later in the day than I had expected.

 

It's my understanding you can go to any Mini dealer fore the voucher and use the certificate at any Mini dealer. So, if there is another dealer closer to you, then that could be an option.

 

My car was on the California Highway too. Originally, my MA said it wouldn't be here until Wednesday, but he called me and said it was cleared to be loaded onto a carrier and would be here earlier. I'm probably a 9 hour drive from Brunswick.

 

That's awesome. I'm going out of town until Tuesday, watch mine will be ready while I'm gone. Not complaining mind you, but would love to pick her up soon.

 

Have we confirmed that these vouchers can be used on cars already ordered?

So should I have received this voucher at the event, or is it emailed? I got nothing yet, and my event was a week ago.

 

Well I just got a call from my MA that I could have done without... Turns out my MINI just got off the truck and will be ready for pick up tomorrow! It was originally estimated that it wouldn't get to the dealership until the 18th. The problem is, I need to wait until the 20th for the dealer event so I can get my voucher. Then, the only day I can get to the dealer that week would be Friday the 26th :(

These next two weeks are going to go by so slowwww. I'm almost tempted to just say the hell with the voucher. I have been borrowing my dad's spare truck for the last month while he's been driving his MINI. I have to put about $110-$130 worth of gas in that thing a week (15mpg *pukes*). If you factor in the cost of gas for the next two weeks, the voucher is only worth about $550, and I'm getting super impatient.

 

Just received word from my MA with something similar. She said it's been released to carrier, and they will expect to receive it by Tuesday, or with a bit of luck Monday.

 

I don't want to annoy anyone who disagrees... but GET IT!!!
I can't imagine waiting knowing it's right there next to me, but I'm not going to pick it up. I said I wasn't going to wait more than a couple days and you're talking about 2 weeks!! Honestly if you feel bad about being impatient, I hear the best remedy is to get inside your new MINI and... that's it. Perhaps you'll need to go as far as turn on the engine, but that's not likely.

 

I just thought of something, can't you pick it up when you attend the event on the 20th? I'm confused why you have to go back again on the 26th.

 

My MINI was wrecked at the VDC and must be re-ordered (a previous post). I would give anything if I ONLY had to wait TWO weeks for my car.

 

The dealer isn't delivering any vehicles that day because they have their hands full at the event. I'd also have to wait until after the event to receive my voucher. :(

 

I haven't received anything either and my event was also on the 6th. Since I haven't received an email, I'm expecting something via snail-mail. That hasn't arrived yet today (Saturday). Why are things so slow? My car arrives at Baltimore on Monday.

Went to the event today. You have to wait to get the email before you can pick up the car. Incidentally my car arrived at 7:05 this morning but I didn't get to see it

 

I'm in a similar position. My car got to Port Hueneme last Tuesday and my dealer's event is on the 20th. The odd thing is that my MA didn't sound confident that my car would be in before then. He said he'd call me on Wednesday with an updated ETA. Heck, I was hoping that I'd be picking up the car some time around Wednesday. On the other hand, $750 is a reasonable consolation prize if it takes a few extra days.

If my car manages to come in before the Not Normal event, I do plan to take the car as soon as it's available.

 

Mine came in on the same ship. Where do you live? I'm in Phx, and mine arrives next Tue.

 

I just went to a dealer to register for the rebate. It's odd how this sale is unadvertised. I learned about in this forum and only got an email yesterday from Mini about the event. The $750 isn't even mentioned until after you register to attend online.
