"Sprout's" mom - new Mini owner
My husband and I welcomed "Sprout" in to our family on July 2, 2012. Sprout is a 2006 British Racing Green and Black Mini S with a sunroof that we adopted. Sprout is still a teenager as he had 58,000 miles on him when we bought him.
We live in Redding, CA, about two hours south of the Oregon border and 2 1/2 hours north of Sacramento. We joined "Shasta Minis", our local Mini Club the day after we bought the car. We are scheduled to go on our first overnight run at the end of August with the club. We may be doing a day run in a couple of weeks.
In the two weeks we have owned Sprout, we have tinted the windows, are putting on new rims and performance tires tomorrow, upgraded the rotors to Zimmerman cross-drilled rotors, and ordered a cold-air induction system. We are planning on adding racing stripes to the hood and a Milltek exhaust system in the very new future. It has been fun dressing Sprout in his new wardrobe.
My husband let me drive the car on some very twisty roads yesterday for about 80 miles. It was great getting used to how fast you can actually go in the corners until I almost killed us going too fast around a corner. I scared myself to death and was a little more tame after that.
I look forward to getting to know other Mini enthusiasts on this forum.

Congrats on your new family addition. We recently moved from Vacaville and we do miss the nice drives in The real NoCal. Down around PointRays and hyway 1. We all recommend an upgraded rear swaybar, it can help with those near death cornering experiences.
You did not say if Sprout has 2 or 3 pedals and if 58k is a teen what mileage is a senior citizen?
This forum is a great place to learn and it is filled Miniacs.
Welcome
