Hey everyone. After years and years of wanting, I finally was able to buy my first Mini Cooper. Its a 2003 Mini Cooper S. Its grey with the sunroofs, 6 speed manual transmission, 17 inch wheels, its awesome. It has 85k miles on it and I got it from a dealership. Upon purchasing, unfortunantly the engine light came on and it became sluggish and jerky. After 4 days of waiting and driving a loaner car, they were able to fix it and return it to me. Turned out the bypass valve went bad. Feels much better now. Anyway, I am completely new to the mini world, as i am superchargers. I have had V8 cars, turbo cars, but nothing supercharged. I'm excited to mod this car, but also worried I may still have a defective car. I read on here about people who are able to chirp there wheels all the way to 3rd gear, yet I can't even get my wheels to spin at all in 1st. Is spinning wheels and chirping gears after the pulleys and exhaust and intake has been installed or are stock 03 mini cooper S's supposed to be able to do that stock?
