Ordered 1st MINI
Hello all,
Less than a week ago ordered my first MINI!
2013 MINI Cooper S Hardtop
Eclipse Gray Body Color
Black Rooftop and Mirror Caps
16" 6-Star Twin Spoke Rims (Black)
All Season Tires
Xenon Lights
Black Headlamp Housings
White Turn Signals
Heated Mirrors & Washer Jets
Premium Package
- Automatic Climate Control
- Dual Pane Panoramic Sunroof
- Rain Sensor and Auto Headlamps
Comfort Access System
Center Arm Rest
Carbon Black Color Line
Rubber Floor Mats - Cooper S (Front)
Wish I was able to attach the PDF from MINIUSA but it says it exceeds the attachment size...
I am also looking change the speakers/car audio to improve the sound quality. I am not an audiophile but I do love music and hate low quality sound systems. I do not have any experience with car audio but I would like to spend up to $1,000 upgrading the way I hear music in the car. I have heard that I'd need to get new speakers, and amp and a subwoofer. How accurate is this information, and any specific advice for getting this done at a good price in NY/NJ? I checked out the HK option and I did not fall in love with the quality so I did not want to waste $750 on what I consider a minor upgrade.
Also I am planning on getting a new shift ****. I posted a thread asking for advice on shift ***** here:

What are your thoughts? Advice and comments much appreciated!

I considered the Harmon Kardon upgrade. Didn't fall in love when I heard it. I can't see it too difficult to improve the sound. Remember it's not like I'm trying to put a new DVD screen/navi and headunit in. I just want to improve sound.

I initially did not know that 2013 was available until I accidentally sent a dealer the 2013 build and he gave me a quote. I was surprised but after that I realized I should stick with the 2013 since it will be easier to sell down the road if I decide to sell it eventually
