Just Ordered: 2013 Clubman S

Just placed my order last night. Honestly, I was not looking at Mini too much, but then I drove on and could not believe how much fun they are to drive; I am coming out of a 2012 M3.

Here is what I ordered:
White Silver with black roof and black stripes
Black interior with piano dash and red trim
JCW pkg
Recaro seats
Tech pkg with nav
Premium pkg
CW pkg
Sport suspension
...and some other little things

Having owned a few BMWs in the past, I thought I was spoiled with the ability to customize my order until I stopped at Mini. The possible combinations are endless (and damn near exhausting). It took me 5 minutes to decided I wanted this car and days to configure it the way I wanted. In the end I am very happy with my order and now I have to patiently wait for delivery.

Congrats and welcome, but why are you getting rid of a 2012 M3?

Don't get me wrong, the M3 is an amazing car, but its hard to justify the cost (living situation changed and spend that much on a car right now doesn't make as much sense as it did when I first purchased it).

Totally understood. Well good luck with the new car and don't be afraid to call the 800# a few times a day, checking the status of your car being built.

Thank you! I hate the waiting part.. The wait for the M was terrible. From what I have read, the Mini process is slightly faster than BMW. Also, my dealer has a production slot ready, so I don't have to wait for one (for the M, it was close to 2 months before I had a slot).

Looks great! We ordered a 2013 Clubman S as well. Rearward vis is a bit hampered with the rear doors, so we opted to add the backup sensor. With connected, it shows a radar image behind you. We also opted for the rear fog light, since that not only completes the bank of toggle switches, but understand it's difficult to add on later and it will add rearward lighting for reverse gear (another complaint of the Clubman).
