New Mini Owner!

Bought my first Mini a couple weeks ago, and I've been already been having some fun modding it. Its a 2010 Chili Red/black roof MCS. A LOT funner to drive than my old daily driveer, a '94 MB C180. Since I'm currently living in Germany and have a Mini dealer right down the road, I plan to mod it to look like a Euro spec.

Yup, at Spangdahlem for a couple more years. Love driving the Mini on the twisty roads out here and of course the Autobahn!

What's that black thing on the underside of the hood? After-market option? Not seen one around here.

Sweet, I really want to get over to Ramstein or Spang. Hell, I'll take anywhere in Europe!

@ Retired Rev, its a funnel to pull fresh air from the hood scoop to the AEM airbox vs. using the hot air from the engine bay like most open filter intakes do.

@ Classic R53, come on over! Your R53 will love the roads around here, and Ramstein has a Mini club.

An option or some different configuration on European models?

Well if lucks on my side, I'll get either one for my first base. Just as soon as I get through basic and tech school starting here in just a couple weeks!

@ Retired Rev, its aftermarket, part of the AEM R56 "S" Intake system. More information about it can be found at this thread
