Hello all, new guy here
Hello everyone!
Im Shawn from St. Louis.
Im the "caregiver" to my families cars, including my Wife's R50 MINI Cooper, a
2003 Model in Chilli Red with a white top and mirrors with 60k on the clock.
We picked it up a month ago and while its a wonderfully fun car, however we've had some issues.
The clutch disintegrated on the way home from buying it so we had to have that fixed right off the bat.
Now, she doesn't make heat.
I've been reading through the past threads on the issue and have yet to be able to resolve it (new cabin filter, bled coolant system, etc)
Plans for the future include an exhaust with some more bark and a new set of wheels. The interior will get some love with a replacement wheel and repairs on the seat bolster.
My car is a '98 VW GTI VR6 however.
Im a long time auto-crosser, track day nut and rally driver/navigator with more time working on German cars then I care to think about, but I do love it!
Looking forward to being a part of the community.
Shawn
