Recently purchased 1st MCS!

Howdy folks,

First-timer to the forum & first-off, wow, what a helpful & friendly online community. I've been wanting a MC for five years but could never pull the trigger. After stumbling upon this forum and three weeks later, found a 2007 Mini Cooper S to my liking. I've had in for a week and couldn't be happier. Took her on a trip to the in-laws this weekend: 38.1 MPG on a 300 mi route- unreal. She's a manual, & pulls in a way that causes me to laugh out loud. my wife thinks I'm nuts. I've never been a car guy but after getting involved in the world of MINI, I have a feeling all that's about to change. Again, HELLO!

Welcome, nice ride. MPG is unreal in these cars. 40.1 was my best on a road trip, and I've got an auto!

Welcome and congrats! I just picked mine up last month and I absolutely love it.

I'm really liking the white top too! Mine's all black and dechromed, but I think white accents look very clean!

FYI a few hints

The 2007 MCS has a few things to keep track of.

Check the oil level often. Avoid the dreaded "dry stick" or you will learn to hate your new baby.

Learn the magic of Seafoam. Better explained in other posts.

Keep your tire pressure up, and make sure the alignment is good or tires will be eaten. This especially if you like to drive like an MCS driver.

Most important enjoy!
